START-UP ROLE - and a result of being "found" via networking! I was the HR Director of a multi-family, hybrid residential construction and property management entity supporting 75+ employees with projects/locations throughout TX, OK and beyond.
*Laid off in 4/20 (start of Covid), but appreciative to have been “found” for this role at an event by my (later) fantastic boss, and was my first full-time role post relo to TX from MI! A reminder of how we never know who we’ll meet, and when 😉

THIS is the role that started my CliftonStrengths(Finder) journey an hour after being let go from it 🤣 a co-worker used to refer to our role as a game of human chess, which sums it up to perfection! I navigated daily associate deployment (i.e. moving the chess pieces) and provided related workforce utilization analysis on automotive and non-automotive client teams for 100+ employees. Worked with finance and human resources on expense/engagement metrics and staffing/employee relations, respectively.
*I worked in this role with the intention/hope of it eventually leading back into one in traditional HR. While it was an excellent learning experience, and I met some terrific people, it wasn't a sustainable "fit," and I moved on after two years. With that said, the best part is my challenges in the role, being the inspiration for my storytelling in discovering Strengths at a networking event the same day as my last day at work!*

I recruited corporate district managers, store managers and managed the hourly sales associate recruitment process and training initiatives for corporate employees and franchisees in a region encompassing 400+ stores throughout MI, IL, IN and New England.
