I was born and brought up in a small city in India where I first hand witnessed disparity between different classes of society. 

In the first few years of my professional career, I tried to bridge those disparities by using the power of finance in catalyzing urban reform. I worked with Governments and Multilateral agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank to set up financial institutions committed to developing smart infrastructure in Africa and Southeast Asia.

A firm believer in capital for social good and equitable education for every child, I later helped raise funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations for a global nonprofit. My passion for creating social change drove me towards setting up two non-profit organizations that work towards empowering the underprivileged community. 

In 2019, I was selected as a part of the LGT fellowship cohort- a group of ten changemakers working around the globe to help create social change. In late 2020, I got sold on the promise of decentralization and spent the next year or so building multiple web3 products and communities. The products I've built have won grants from foundations of all major blockchains (Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and others). I work closely with SuperteamDAO and Makerdock in helping grow the web3 ecosystem.

My vision for the next decade is to build at the frontier of technology and create protocols and structures to take web3 mainstream.

When I am not talking about web3 or sustainable social impact, I am talking about football, rock music, or my cross-country travels.

Samyak Kothari is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA with a passion for finance and content creation. He graduated from St. Xavier's College with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing, and has acquired multiple certifications in general management and communication skills from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He is currently the Associate Director of Strategy at Liminal, a non-custodial, bespoke wallet platform for securing digital assets. He is responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision, building partnerships with key stakeholders, and driving growth and innovation. He has successfully led several initiatives, such as securing a large contract with a leading crypto exchange, launching a new product feature, and expanding the market reach. He is also a co-host of the Thinking Out Loud podcast, where he shares his insights and opinions on personal finance, investing, and crypto. He leverages his analytical skills, finance knowledge, and content creation abilities to educate and engage his audience.
