I spent the day at Sidebar Spark building AI agents with industry leaders Vikash Rungta, Subha Shetty, and Polly M Allen. And it reinforced something I've been thinking about a lot lately: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Here's what that means for people like us: Heads of Community, Events, and Marketing. 

For years, I've been fascinated by the same challenge: How do you turn relationships into revenue that leadership can actually measure? How do you prove that community and experiences around products and services don't just "build brand" but actually shorten sales cycles and accelerate deal velocity in an efficient, repeatable, scalable, predictable manner?

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴?

Because the best marketers understand the difference between automation and agency. Automation completes tasks. Agency (human or artificial) makes decisions, adapts, and compounds value over time.

The leaders I admire most build community-led GTM engines where every executive dinner, every workshop, every partnership creates compound leverage. Data models that connect sentiment to pipeline. Attribution frameworks that show executives exactly how relationship-led revenue flows through the funnel.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄? 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.

We're entering a market where AI agents will handle the repeatable work, but someone still needs to architect the strategy: to align people, platforms, and value-based goals into systems that learn and scale. Someone needs to bridge the technical and the human. Someone needs to facilitate the room, read the signals, and articulate why it all matters.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲.

I thrive in environments where community is a strategic lever, not a line item. Where leadership values both the data and the craft. Where you can build rapid pilots, scale what works, and hand off repeatable engines that compound over time.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜'𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀:

Because best-selling author Goldie Chan, who also spoke at the summit, reminded me that the leaders worth following aren't the ones who only share the highlight reel. They're the ones who think out loud, stay curious, and build in public. The intersection of community, revenue, and AI-amplified strategy is evolving fast, and I'm curious where it's heading.
