But sit with people who:

→ Talk about ideas, not people

And suddenly, you're not the same person.

The conversations you're in shape the thoughts you think.

It's easy to confuse motion with direction.

You're on a path. It's moving fast. You feel productive. 

You are going somewhere.

But you never stopped to check if it's taking you where you actually want to go.

People stay in jobs that drain them because they're "making progress" in their career. They're getting promotions, raises, new titles.

It feels like progress.

People stay in relationships that don't fit because they've invested so much time. 

They're building a life together, checking boxes, moving forward.

But movement isn't the same as progress.

Progress means you're getting closer to where you want to be. 

Movement just means you're going somewhere.

The hardest thing to do is stop a moving train.

I've done this. Stayed in situations way too long because I confused momentum with meaning.

A goal is "I want to grow my network to 500 connections"

A system is "I'll reach out to 3 people every Monday morning"

Here's how to build systems that actually work:

Pick one outcome and break it into the smallest repeatable action

Choose one specific result.
→ Grow to 25 customers. 
→ Be on 2 podcasts per month.
→ Move to a new city by June.

Then ask: what's the tiniest thing you can do every day or week that moves you toward that goal?

Try "write for 30 minutes at 6am before the day gets chaotic."

👉 Step 2:

Attach your new action to an existing habit.

After I pour my coffee, I'll write.

Before I check email, I'll reach out to 3 people.

👉 Step 3:

Track it and adjust weekly

Just mark when you do it. That's all.

Tracking builds momentum. You'll want to keep the streak going.

You don't need another goal.

You need a system that makes winning automatic.

And new doesn't last forever.

Here's what happens when you start something new:

→ Your first sales call feels awkward
→ Your first post gets no engagement
→ Your first hire feels risky
→ Your first client pitch sounds shaky

And your brain immediately tells you:

"You're bad at this."
"This isn't for you."
"Maybe you should quit."

But the truth is: You're not bad at it. You're just new at it.

And new always feels uncomfortable.

Think about the first time you:

→ Drove a car
→ Gave a presentation
→ Led a team
→ Negotiated a deal

It felt clumsy, right?

Uncertain.

Like you were pretending to be someone you weren't.

But then you did it again. And again.

And eventually, the unfamiliar became familiar.

The uncomfortable became comfortable.

Each vendor has different pricing and performance.

Keeping track of all this used to mean that my team spent their time doing:
