For a long time, I thought I was a marketing guy who could write decent copy. Turned out, I’m a really good copywriter with some credible experience in marketing.

What it is:

The Nigerian Podcast Index is a public, independent directory of Nigerian podcasts. It’s not a ranking, review platform, or chart. Its purpose is simple: document, preserve, and make discoverable every independent podcast created in Nigeria/ or by Nigerians.

Why it matters:

1. Discoverability: Helps creators reach new listeners without relying on algorithms.
2. Ecosystem growth: Provides a reliable record for researchers, brands, and institutions.
3. Permanent documentation: Ensures Nigerian podcasts are archived for history and reference.

Who can be listed:

1. Podcasts produced in Nigeria or by Nigerians
2. Shows with a working RSS feed
3. Active podcasts or properly archived ones

How it works:

1. Creators submit their podcast via a simple Google Form.

2. Each submission is verified manually for accuracy.
3. Listings include key details: title, host, description, RSS feed, language, genre, status, and website.
4. Podcasts are organised alphabetically and by taxonomy (language, genre, status).
