I scaled brand to $250K/month for my client.
 But almost let $𝟔,𝟓𝟎𝟎  break my own business!

I also lost $6,500.
Not from bad ads. Not from poor strategy. From unpaid invoices.

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈'𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 $𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎/𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 $𝟐𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎/𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 told me he was hospitalised and would clear dues once he recovered. I believed him. I kept working without upfront payment.

The money never came.

When I stopped managing the account, performance dropped. He came back later — admitted growth wasn't the same without me — and asked me to return, promising payment once profits improved. 

That moment stung. But it also confirmed something quietly: the results were skill, not luck.

Someone kept switching the lights on and off — and it quickly turned into a small argument.

A few months ago, I would’ve escalated it. No question. 🥵

But this time I paused, stepped back, and chose to calm down instead.

And honestly? That felt like a bigger win than “winning” the argument ever could.

Budget locked! Strategy ready! Everything green!

Until it wasn't.
