Disruption is speeding up.
The threat surface is expanding.

Here’s what I learned:

Sustainment in denied, degraded, and disrupted environments is now a primary theater of competition.
If you can’t move, supply, repair, or adapt under pressure—nothing else matters.

Here’s what I learned:

Convoys and hubs are now targets, not assumptions.

The pace of sustainment must match the pace of threat.

• 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲
If trust breaks, logistics breaks—instantly.

Albert Evans provides insight on "What" organizations can do to protect themselves in light of the Anthropic news.  Nicely done and well articulated.

#Anthropic just documented GTG-1002, the first large-scale autonomous AI cyberattack. A Chinese state-sponsored group used manipulated Claude Code to execute 80-90% of tactical operations autonomously across 30+ targets. The AI conducted reconnaissance, exploitation, credential harvesting, lateral movement, and exfiltration. Human operators set strategic goals. The AI executed everything else at machine speed.

The problem this creates for your teams:

They’re drowning. Your defenders operate at human speed against adversaries operating at machine speed. GTG-1002 collapsed discovery, validation, and exploitation into a single continuous loop. By the time your analyst receives the first alert, the autonomous agent has already achieved lateral movement. The traditional breakout time (48 minutes) no longer exists.

Why this matters for people, not just technology:

As Marcus Aurelius taught, discipline in crisis comes from clarity about what you control. You cannot control the adversary’s tempo. You can control your architecture. Technology must serve Process, which serves People. Right now, your defensive stack requires human judgment at every tactical decision point while the adversary removes humans from their tactical loop entirely.

Here’s the path forward, grounded in evidence:

• Govern non-human identities as the primary battleground. GTG-1002’s lateral movement was autonomous credential harvesting across service accounts, API tokens, and machine identities. Apply OWASP NHI Top 10 controls: lifecycle management, secret rotation, privilege minimization, and token anomaly detection.

GTG-1002’s enumeration is an entity anomaly: a service account suddenly accessing 200 endpoints at 50 requests/second.

• Deploy autonomous containment with human governance. Autonomous Defensive AI with pre-authorized response authorities: detect anomalous enumeration, automatically revoke tokens, isolate the identity, trigger step-up authentication, then notify analysts. Humans review post-facto, not pre-action. This aligns with the adversary’s model: humans govern strategy, while AI executes tactics.

• Use AI-powered deception as machine-speed tripwires. Autonomous recon agents systematically enumerate every discovered service. They will touch high-fidelity honeypots, providing you with immediate, high-confidence detection, along with attribution and TTP maps.

• Automate exposure reduction. CTEM identifies what’s exploitable. Add automated containment triggers: micro-segmentation, credential rotation, service isolation. Don’t wait for prioritization meetings.
