-A server-side project focused on optimizing on existing application
-Imported large dataset into PostgreSQL database using fs.createReadStream and indexed for fast retrieval
-Redesigned endpoints for more efficient database queries and quicker response times back to client
-Scaled the server horizontally using Docker containers inside 3 AWS EC2 instances with a load balancer by Nginx enabling the application to triple its requests per second to almost 2400 from 800

After spending nearly a decade in New York City in the video production industry, the pandemic in 2020 brought much time for personal reflection and reevaluation of professional goals.  It was during this time I found my calling to a career as a software engineer and never looked back.  After starting study initially on my own, I attended and completed the Advanced Software Engineering Immersive from Hack Reactor/Galvanize accelerating my skills and capabilities to match or exceed those needed to succeed as a full-stack software engineer in the industry.
