From 1990-1994 – I was a salesperson and loved every minute of it (I broke records, built amazing client relationships, and put hundreds of thousands of miles on my Honda Accord).

From 1994 to 2018, I co-founded and helped grow nine early-stage companies.  Seven of these nine companies successfully exited for over $600M.

During these years, I learned about mergers & acquisitions, product-market fit, managing cash flow, evangelical sales, raising funds, making & losing millions, how to creatively accomplish much with very little $, and much more.

In 2018, I said to myself, “Ok, it’s time for something completely new.” 

Since then, I have consulted for or led, large teams within Private Equity backed or Public Companies. The companies that I have helped over this time have experienced value increases of over $2B.

In 2022, I made the decision that I want to continue to lead teams and assist companies and their clients in obtaining breakthrough results.

But my passion has always been focused on answering one question:

“How can companies build a revenue generation system that can forecast and achieve its goals, year after year?” 

It’s taken me 25 years of grinding, experimenting, failing, and retrying to finally be able to answer this question and now I am sharing it with others.

Sold newspaper subscriptions over the telephone to non-subscribers, subscribers who had cancelled and to subscribers with issues that needed to be resolved.  Produced sales consistently each week quite often being the top salesperson on the team.  Created a sales pitch and honed it to increase retention of subscribers.  Sold third party bulk paper sales to companies around the area to increase circulation and provide branding opportunites for the client.  Utilized the telephone and cold-calls or appointments to gain sales.  Led fundraising efforts for the Newspapers in Education program by gaining donations through telemarketing, letters and face-to-face meetings.  Successfully planned and orchestrated an event thanking Newspapers in Education donors.  Worked the first part of this position while still attending college.

I am a Master Trainer and Coach with over 20 years of sales and sales leadership experience. My sales career began during college at a part time job in inside sales and transitioned to a President's Club level sales rep and sales manager years later. I have experience in a variety of sales roles including inside sales, account management, new business development, and sales management.  

As a sales manager I hired, trained, coached, and mentored sales reps and sales managers across the country. It was in that sales manager position that I found my true calling: mentoring, coaching and training sales reps and sales managers to exceed their goals. The "lightbulb moments" when someone learns something new or hits a new milestone are what drives me forward. My goal is to make the sales process "make sense" for people and help them put it into action. I deliver my training with a dose of energy, a bit of humor, and a smattering of stories from my experience in the field.
