I am a driven coach and keynote speaker specialized in topics concerning physical health, stress management and lifestyle. 


In 2020, I founded PEAK Coaching, a personal coaching business geared toward entrepreneurs and executives looking to balance their busy schedule with a healthy lifestyle. My approach with PEAK is highly personalized, accessible, and focused on establishing a long-term, attainable lifestyle. It works: we now train over 200 professionals with a team of 30 dedicated and highly skilled coaches across Flanders, and we were elected ‘KMO belofte van het jaar’ in 2022. Also in 2022, we built and launched the PEAK Coaching app to make booking and personalizing training sessions even easier. And we are far from done.

I am as passionate about good food and wine as I am about health. Contradictory? Not if you ask me. My approach to health is built around the concept of ‘bewuste bourgondiër’ (mindful epicureanism): living a healthy lifestyle should be balanced out by enjoying what you love, all in moderation. Uniting these interests, I enjoy bringing people together and connecting over entrepreneurship and personal and professional growth.

Als ondernemer met een baby van 7 maanden zoek je elke hack die je kan vinden.

Elke ochtend neem ik 10 gram creatine. Niet voor de gym — voor mijn brein.

Wat de meeste mensen niet weten: creatine werkt ook cognitief, en juist bij slaaptekort. Je hersenen verbruiken creatine net zoals je spieren dat doen. Meer creatine = meer mentale brandstof, ook na een zware nacht.

Mijn realiteit: 2x per nacht wakker. 7 uur later een volle werkdag.

Creatine lost mijn slaaptekort niet op. Maar het maakt me scherper ondanks het slaaptekort.

En naast betere focus, enkele longevity voordelen namelijk, sterkere spieren, betere hersenfunctie, minder vermoeidheid naarmate je ouder wordt. 

5 gram per dag met een goed glas water. Geen smaak, maar wel efficient. Momenteel mijn beste tip van 2026!

Vincent Pauwels, co-founder van November Five, bouwt aan digitale producten voor bedrijven als Spotify, Coca-Cola en Telenet. High-stakes omgevingen waar innovatie en snelheid centraal staan.

Dat vraagt veel van je. Mentaal en fysiek.

Maar Vincent heeft een inzicht dat veel ondernemers missen: gezondheid staat eerst. Niet omdat het trendy is, maar omdat je zonder een gezond lichaam nooit de beste versie van jezelf kunt zijn voor je team, je partners, je mensen. 💪

Het probleem? Consistentie. Elke werkdag anders. Fitness voelt altijd als iets dat je 'moet' doen, totdat je het twee weken niet doet en de drempel onmogelijk hoog wordt.

Totdat een coach aan je deur staat.

Vincent traint nu twee keer per week 's morgens. Vast moment, geen flexibiliteit. Juist die rigiditeit werkt. De push van iemand die je verder duwt dan je jezelf ooit zou duwen. Je dag begint scherper, je focus is beter, je voelt je krachtiger. En dat straal je uit naar je team. 🎯

Ziek worden op vakantie als ondernemer. Toeval of niet?

Heel wat ondernemers komen bij ons met het verhaal dat ze ziek worden in het begin van hun vakantie. Duidelijk geen toeval. 

Als ondernemer draai je constant  op adrenaline en cortisol. Je lichaam staat continu aan. Stress houdt je immuunsysteem onderdrukt — niet omdat het niet werkt, maar omdat het alle energie naar "overleven" stuurt.

Dan komt vakantie & valt de adrenaline weg. Cortisol daalt. Je lichaam denkt eindelijk: nu kan ik herstellen.

Het heeft zelfs een naam: leisure sickness. 

De vakantie is niet het probleem. De aanloop ernaartoe is het probleem.

Wat doet slaapgebrek écht met je beslissingen, je energie, je scherpte als ondernemer.

Na 1 nacht slecht slapen daalt je cognitieve scherpte met 20-30, ook iemand die 2 weken lang 6u slaapt presteert even slecht als iemand die 24u wakker is.

Slaap is niet sexy. Maar wel de allerbelangrijkste, zelf belangrijker dan de juiste voeding en beweging. 

Slaap is prioriteit nummer één. 

Want zonder herstel:
⚠️ Stijgt je craving naar suiker en koffie significant
⚠️ Bij slaapgebrek verlaagt testosteron 
⚠️ Je bent minder bestand tegen afleiding, sociale druk en korte termijn denken
⚠️ Wat je overdag leert, verwerk je 's nachts. Sla je die slaap over, verlies je tot 40% van wat je die dag hebt opgenomen.

En het gevaarlijke? Je went eraan. Je noemt het druk. Je noemt het ambitie.
Onderzoek toont aan dat mensen die structureel 6u slapen zichzelf inschatten als "goed functionerend" — terwijl objectieve testen het tegendeel bewijzen.

Je kan niet supplementeren, trainen of biohacken wat slaap voor je doet.

5K langs het water, zonnig weer en toffe gesprekken onderweg. Geeft me altijd weer nieuwe energie tussen de eindeloze to do's door.

Een powernap, productief of contraproductief?

Het antwoord is: allebei. Afhankelijk van hoe je het doet.

NASA deed onderzoek bij piloten — een powernap verbeterde hun prestaties met 34% en alertheid met 54%. 

Maar slaap je te lang, dan sta je minder energiek op dan voor je nap. Je zakt in diepe slaap en je brein denkt dat het nacht is.

Hoe werkt een powernap optimaal?
👉🏻 10-20 minuten = alertheid en focus herstellen
👉🏻 Langer dan 20 minuten = slaapinertie, je bent er slechter aan toe dan ervoor

De meeste ondernemers zien de middagdip als iets dat ze moeten doorbijten. Koffie erbij en gaan. Maar die dip is biologisch. Je circadiaans ritme heeft rond 13-15u een natuurlijk dal.

20 minuten op het juiste moment = de rest van je dag op een ander niveau.

Floris Wouterson wat denk jij hierover?

De voorbije weken zagen we het duust keer passeren: het Belgische AI-bureau AiCandy maakte een filmpje dat zich afspeelt in 2036. Musk, Bezos en Altman leggen uit hoe ze na de automatisering de mensheid aan het werk hebben gezet, in een fitnesszaal die energie levert voor AI-systemen.

Het is 100% AI-generated en het ziet er legit goed uit.

De snelheid waarmee AI gaat is waanzinnig. Bij PEAK testen we constant nieuwe AI-tools en telkens zijn er weer dingen mogelijk die een maand geleden nog niet bestonden 🚀

ALICE IN WONDERLAND🐰

At the end of 2018, I handed back my permanent appointment to the government I worked for. After 15 years of being a civil servant, I was bumping up against the boundaries of a government organisation and the values of politics. I felt there was more in it, more in my life and more in myself🔥.
Moreover, in my role of environmental supervisor, I had seen too many times that it is really not obvious for an entrepreneur to be aware of the hundreds of environmental and safety regulations and that it is even less obvious how to get the necessary knowledge and then implement it on the shop floor. I sensed from everything that there was an avenue to help entrepreneurs get in order with the legislation before they got into trouble.
And so I stepped into entrepreneurship overnight, like Alice in Wonderland full of wonder for all the new things I would encounter on my path.

BUSINESS, BUSINESS, BUSINESS🚀

In 2019, I founded VDS Environmental Consultancy, an environmental consultancy that helps businesses get environmental permits. After 6 months, I felt an inner restlessness, a craving for more, for the magic outside my comfort zone. I started looking for how to roll out a different business model, scalable, digital, international... This is how Artion was born in 2021, a somewhat atypical SAAS platform for automating legally required environmental and safety inspections of installations in companies. 
My personal ambition is still to be allowed to experience all that entrepreneurship has to offer and to help others through entrepreneurship and creation. Raising a SAAS startup fulfils that dream, with the occasional curse and tear.
