As a reporting intern covering politics at a leading English daily in New Delhi, I was responsible for attending and writing detailed reports on political rallies, press conferences, and events held in and around the city. There, I mastered the art of identifying important news pieces to report from a selection of options. Further, I honed the technical writing skills required to report news items objectively.
