I’m an editorial executive with more than two decades of experience translating complex ideas into compelling narratives.

My writing background spans journalism, literary memoir, and thought leadership, with particular expertise in the financial services, energy, and technology sectors. I specialize in helping leaders build credibility, strengthen relationships, and tell a good story.

My academic path—journalism at Northwestern, a master's in nonfiction writing from DePaul, and an MBA from Chicago Booth—reflects how I think about the work: equal parts storytelling craft and strategic rigor.

Thought leadership has been around longer than the term itself.

McKinsey & Company was publishing the Quarterly in 1964—three decades before Joel Kurtzman of strategy+business coined "thought leader."

That's something I kept coming back to while my team and I were putting together this timeline. The practice predates the label. The discipline existed before anyone knew what to call it.

What started inside strategy consultancies has now democratized across every industry.

It's now 2026, and AI is reshaping how content gets created. Saturation is making it harder to stand out. And organizations are still struggling to prove impact in ways that survive a board meeting.
