Sharif Virani is a strategic digital communications advisor and fractional CMO with a firm understanding of brand management, growth marketing and digital media/content production as they pertain to DTC, STEM and public advocacy in North America. His past experience in e-commerce, SME growth marketing, public advocacy/ education and corporate relations, has developed into a capacity for evolving plans and campaigns aimed at achieving measurable results in the tri-sectoral implementation of targeted digital and social media strategies.

As Managing Partner and Creative Director of Media Launch, fully acquired by WebMarketers in August 2021, he led both Media Launch’s leading creative and strategy teams and Web Marketers' fine tuned web dev process and proven approach to SEO/analytics. Working with brands such as UberEats, Skip the Dishes, Door Dash, Narcity Canada, Canadian Blood Services, Premium Meats, Claridge Homes and Iredto, Media Launch helped navigate an evolving digital landscape using the combined experience, flexibility and nimbleness of both firms together to showcase a suite of services essential to today’s SMEs.

Additionally he was the Co-Founder and Director of Marketing for Casper Kitchens, repurposing under utilized commercial kitchen spaces and empowering passionate food/culinary industry professionals through the use of technology and proven processes to reach the masses (exit November 2021) and Ottawa's first dedicated ghost kitchen deployment. Prior to COVID19 he was also a course instructor for the one-year Brand Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Algonquin College, focused on the many facets of brand strategy and management - engaging leading industry experts to share their insights about the tools and strategies that you can build and implement to maintain a company’s most valuable asset - brand equity.

Currently he is the Co-Founder and Director of Marketing for Instasnacks, a concierge snack delivery company that leverages technology tools with brick & mortar convenience store businesses to empower independent operators, decrease traditional costs, maximizing profitability and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and an Growth Marketing Advisor for Sumer Inc, Canada’s first 15-minute grocery delivery service with no hidden fees and a flat $1.99 CAD delivery fee.

PS - If you're not familiar with Marshall McLuhan he was a fascinating and influential Canadian communications theorist and philosopher. He predicted the internet, its impact on the world, and coined the phrases "the medium is the message" and  "global village" 30 years before the internet was invented! Cool, eh?
