A story circulating online from Karnataka claims that a farmer who had fully repaid his ₹50,000 loan was later contacted by the bank over an outstanding balance of ₹9.34.

According to viral reports, he visited the branch, paid ₹10, and calmly asked for 66 paise back.

His response reportedly was simple:

“If banks count every paisa from us, shouldn’t we count ours too?”

While the full context and official clarification from the bank are still not publicly available, the story has triggered an interesting debate.

Because sometimes, it’s not about the amount.
