I am a Professor at McGill University and a Technical Consultant focused on: Moving AI from Discussion Rooms to Full-Fledged Production, and i’m very passionate about helping all stakeholders get there.

MY PHILOSOPHY:   After overseeing nearly 100 builds, I’ve found that AI projects rarely fail because of the math or the tech. They are merely stuck because of poor scoping and success metrics definition, lack of creativity around thinking about Data Strategy, and iterative growth planning.

I make business happen. 
I build relationships, solve problems and find solutions. 
After years in the mining industry, I have had my share of success, created solid relationships and more than a few customers have become friends. I closed big and small deals, in 9 countries and 3 languages. Mineral processing, geology and mining exploration are where most of my experience was made, but I also touched on decarbonization and engineering services.
Along the way I had the chance to manage teams and trained others to become managers in their own right.
In a previous life, prior to relocating to Canada, I was a quality manager for an oil & gas company and an ISO14000 expert.

Trained as a chemical engineer (member of OIQ, Order of Engineers of Québec) and MBA, born and raised in Argentina, I wish all my air miles were with the same airline so I could travel around the world for free with my family. In the meantime I settle for a few beers with friends.
