I am a Professor at McGill University and a Technical Consultant focused on: Moving AI from Discussion Rooms to Full-Fledged Production, and i’m very passionate about helping all stakeholders get there.

As part of community project, I worked with Solv4X as a model developer. During this period, I collaborated with the team and developed the following solutions

DATA COLLECTION
- Identify reliable public data sources that allows the team to reduce data collection and aggregation costs 
- Scrape and aggregate energy data for energy markets for the power generation and consumption forecasts, using custom Python scripts for data ingestion.

DATA PROCESSING AND MODELLING
- Define mathematical formulations for the intended business KPIs (for green energy) from electricity forecasts. Evaluating metric like greenness factor, energy mix and cleanliness quotient.
- Developed data cleaning and preprocessing workflows using Python and SQL Server.  Workflow processes data and transform them into analytical features. 
- Developed various machine learning models (using Tree regressors like Random Forest, LightGBM and XGBoost) and statistical time series models (using ARIMA, SARIMA and VARMA) for energy forecast models.

BUSINESS CONSULTING
- Leveraging my experience in the energy markets and EV manufacturing, proposed various KPIs to increase business proposition

DASHBOARD/ BI
- Design an analytical dashboard (Power BI) for trend monitoring and statistical analysis
- Using the dashboard team can monitor deviation in energy generation forecasts and power grid energy mix
- Team can monitor model performance and compare model predictions against actual energy mix using visualization, and trigger model re-training.

Data Engineer and Modeller - Academic Consulting Project

Working as a data engineer/ solution architect for the project, my roles and contributions are
- Develop an ETL workflow (in Python) to extract and load data into a new analytical database that reduces
the manual workload (from days) to an automated process (to minutes)
- Implement and design a new analytical database and analytical system design for the team.
- Implement file processors and WebApp based ETL and Modelling application for the project solution
(providing a microservice based decoupled system that the organization to migrate to cloud)
- Implementing data application layer (using .NET webapp + EF Core) over the analytical database for
controlled and independent database access and application integrations
- Build automation, docker integration and log monitoring automation using logging framework (Seq)
- Designing and implementing overlapping time series comparison/ modelling algorithm

Highlights and deliverables

- Responsible for design and implementation of custom modules (and scripts) within Endur as per business requirements. (.Net OpenComponent, C#, F#, SQL and stored procedures )
- Contribute in the business function role to gather requirements, translate business needs to technical documents and support user demos/onboarding. 
- Responsible for the implementation and support for the interface to onboard counter party data from central CRM to Endur. 
- Worked on various financial instruments like (physicals, swaps, options, futures and other custom instruments) and commodities (FX, Power, Gas and derivatives).
- Improving functionalities around financial calculation modules (PnL, Credit Risk, Realized/ Unrealised exposure, Trade position, scheduling, book balancing etc.)
- Worked as a business consultant and developer for a European power generation and trading company. 
- Designed and implemented a web api (based on microservices design) solution to enable extraction and import curve prices, execute workflows and processes remotely over an interface within Endur.  
- Mentor team members and organize learning/upskilling initiatives within the team.

1. The portal was used for in-house designers to design and select components for AHU (Automated heating unit) to achieve required customer needs.
