I am a seasoned Data Scientist/Analyst with a rich experience spanning two years in the field. Over the past year, I have proudly contributed my skills and expertise to the dynamic teams of both Data Science (Personalisation - ML) and Data Engineering at McAfee. My journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a passion for transforming data into meaningful, concrete insights.

My proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, my ability to figure out a way around blockers on the go, and my decisiveness with sound reasoning has been the cornerstone of my success, enabling me to extract, analyze, and interpret data with precision. My adeptness in these tools has empowered me to spearhead feature engineering projects, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the value of data and optimizing its use for strategic decision-making.

One of my significant accomplishments includes being a key contributor to the establishment of a feature store at McAfee. 
As we all know, from start to end, 70% of time in most Machine Learning projects is spent on finding out correct POCs within the company, communicating with them to acquiring the correct data and also understanding it, predicting probable metrics to be obtained from it, and then performing the pre-processing. 
Developing a feature store involved a lot of Feature Engineering, gaining close familiarity with the raw data, understanding the business and performing a lot of SQL intricacies, not to forget a lot of internal communication. The objective was to cut down on the preprocessing time and provide Data Scientists 
with data they could rapidly build prototypes upon without having to worry about the entire logistics of how it came to be. The nature of this 'pre-processed' data was that it could support a lot of Data Science efforts, since this data captured the essential behavior of our customers. 

This innovative solution has not only streamlined workflows but has also facilitated the acceleration of data-driven innovation within the organization.

Motivated by my unwavering commitment to continuous growth and a thirst for knowledge, I am eager to expand my horizons into the realms of Data Engineering and Data Science. Drawing upon my foundation in analytics and my proficiency in key technologies, I am excited to take on new challenges and leverage my skill set to drive transformative insights and solutions.

I've worked in data for 4  years across Energy , finance, Supply Chain and tech.

You know how often I actually open Python at work?
Maybe once a month. On a good month.

Here's what your actual Tuesday looks like as a Data Analyst:
Excel — you'll live here. Accept it. SQL — your best friend, every single day. Power BI or Tableau — open more than your email. PowerPoint — because the C-suite will never read your dashboard.

Python? It's the skill that got you the interview. Not the job.
Most analysts I've seen are still barely touching Python — but they're running circles around others in SQL and storytelling with data. That's what actually gets you promoted.

The dirty truth is that most analyst roles don't have the infrastructure, the time, or frankly the need for Python. Stakeholders want a clean table in an email, not a Jupyter notebook.
Now before the data scientists flood my comments — yes, Python matters enormously for engineering and science roles. No debate there.

But if you're an aspiring analyst burning weekends on pandas tutorials while your SQL is still shaky?

You have your priorities backwards.
The gap between job postings and what the job actually is has never been bigger.
Learn what gets you hired. Master what keeps you employed. They're not always the same thing.

The Dark Side of AI No One Is Talking About

I'll be honest — for the last 3 years, I just… trusted AI. No questions asked. Until one day, I actually did ask. And I wish I hadn't waited that long.

Like a lot of you, I was genuinely excited. AI felt like a superpower for data work — faster answers, less grunt work, more time to actually think.

But here's the thing nobody really warned me about:
→ AI doesn't know what it doesn't know. It fills in the blanks — smoothly, confidently — and if you're not looking closely enough, you'll never catch it. I almost didn't.

We keep worrying about AI taking our jobs. But the quieter threat? It's slowly replacing our critical thinking.

The real danger isn't the technology itself. It's how comfortable we've all gotten with just hitting accept.

𝟔 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

I'd sit down, open my laptop, and spend the next 4 hours doing the same thing:

Pull data. Clean it. Build reports. Send dashboards. Repeat.
Last Monday? I was done in 35 minutes.
Nothing changed about me. But everything changed about how I work.
The reason? Agentic AI.
And no — I don't mean ChatGPT.
Most people think AI = you ask something, it answers. That's it.
Agentic AI is a completely different animal.
It doesn't wait for you to ask. It just... works.
It looks at your data pipelines, figures out what needs to happen, and does it  from start to finish — on its own.

In my day-to-day as a Data Professional, that looks like this:
→ Data gets pulled from multiple places automatically 
→ Messy data gets cleaned without me touching it 
→ Dashboards refresh themselves in real time 
→ Reports land in the right inbox at the right time 
→ If something looks off in the numbers, I find out before my manager does
Honestly? At first it felt weird. Like — is this actually real?

But after a few weeks, I stopped questioning it and started thinking differently about my job.
I'm not just someone who runs queries and builds charts anymore.
I've become someone who asks better questions and makes smarter decisions with the time I saved.

That shift is huge.
The analysts I see thriving right now aren't the ones who know the most SQL. They're the ones who figured out how to work with AI instead of around it.
If you're still spending 3–4 hours every week doing the same repetitive data tasks — there's a better way. And it's available right now.
