Since graduating Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009, I was thrown into the world of video production, flying all over the country as a worked full time for a few production companies. In 2014 I went head first into becoming a freelance cinematographer. As I gained experience on large commercial sets, I was able to provide production services for small businesses. Before 2020, my work was mostly as a traveling cinematographer filming branded commercials and finding a speciality in gimbals and car rigging. 

As I continue working on commercials, whether the one behind the camera, producing, or editing, my services have expanded to consulting for B2B companies looking to improve their video content and branding their video calls.

Was fortunate enough to go between a general crew member where on each shoot I had different responsibilities. In addition to this, I was also the digital marketing strategist which taught me skills I use everyday in the field. 

As the Digital Marketing Strategist at 522 Productions, here are some of my major responsibilities:

• Keep current with all trends in video production
• Stay up to date in social media trends and software
• Obtain and retain clients via social networking (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+)
• Write blogs relating to the video production and marketing field
• Create videos to enrich the blog content

• Working in the camera department (director of photography, camera operator, etc)
• Managing all equipment

As a member of the production team at 522 Productions, my responsibilities include:

• Work in the camera department in various roles such as a camera operator and director of photography
• Edit pieces that either we have shot or client's have shot
• Work with the creative director in all phases of production
• Work with clients to get their vision in the form of video

Digital Marketing Strategist and Crew Member

McKissock is the leader for online Continuing Education (CE) courses for Appraisers, Real Estate Agents, Engineers, & Other Licensed Professionals that are affordable & approved. 

My responsibilities were to work along side the instructional designers to come up with video scenarios to be used in the course. I was solely responsible for writing, directing, producing, shooting and editing these videos. I learned a great deal of how to wrangle talent, manage budgets, get access to locations and produce videos with very specific needs. 

As my contract period was ending, I was offered a full time position at 522 Productions were I was able to use these skills I learned.

MetaMedia Training Int is a video production company now based in Frederick MD. This is where I began my professional career in video production. I started as an intern and was offered a full time position once it was complete. I went from being a production assistant to associate producer to secondary camera to director of photography. This opportunity gave me the experience to try different rolls on and off set while allowing me to find my true passion. I found that my talents were in the camera department as well as working with clients.

I continue a good relationship with MetaMedia and continue to get calls to be hired as a contract worker for their projects.
