The other day, I was browsing a product online.

Slick ads. Perfect models. Polished shots.

All the things brands spend money on.

But guess what made me click “Add to Cart”?

A random girl’s review video saying...

“Okay guys, this actually worked for me.”

Not perfect lighting.

Not scripted lines.

Just real experience.

That’s the thing about UGC.

People trust people.

Not brands talking about themselves.

As marketers, we often look for the “perfect” creative.

But the most persuasive content is usually the most imperfect one because it feels like a friend recommending it.

If your customers love you, let them talk.

They’ll sell better than any ad you make.

Pretty posts don’t pay the bills..

I’ve seen it so many times, a brand’s Instagram feed looks gorgeous.

Crisp photos. Pastel palettes. Perfect typography.

And yet… zero sales.

Here’s the truth:

Looking pretty is nice.

But selling requires more than just good lighting.

Content that sells:

Shows the problem your product solves.
Speaks directly to your ideal customer.
Has a clear next step (“Buy now”, “Book a call”, “Learn more”).

Content that just looks pretty:

Is aesthetically pleasing but doesn’t tell me why I should care?

Might get likes… but no one’s clicking ‘add to cart’.

When you focus only on aesthetics, you’re decorating a shop window without inviting anyone inside.

If you want sales, your content needs to do both: attract attention and guide action.

Look at your last 5 posts. 

Be honest, are they just pretty, or are they selling?

ROAS is a nice number to look at.

But it doesn’t always tell the full story.

I’ve seen ads with “great ROAS” and brands still struggling to grow.

What actually matters more (especially early on):

 – Can you afford to acquire this customer again?
 – Do they come back after the first purchase?
 – Are you making money after all costs?

ROAS shows performance.

These show sustainability.

And growth without sustainability is just noise.

I’ve realized “starting over” doesn’t always mean a big life change.

Sometimes it’s small… almost unnoticeable.

A new morning habit.

Letting go of something that drains you.

Choosing rest instead of forcing productivity.

Saying, “I’ll try again tomorrow.”
