This is so stooopid. I can't believe I did this. 

I'm incognito to protect my reputation.
My grandson said, "Pops, we don't do this anymore."

Well (or welp), I did. 
Yes, I made a 6/7 video. 

Shuffling through a drawer of old race memorabilia last night I came across this bib from the 2018 Northwest Passage (Ragnar Relay Series). 

Talk about stooopidity. Sign up for one (or 17) of these nutjob events!

As I looked at it, and in the split second before I recalled the crazy, fun, memories of that weekend, those stooopid numbers leaped off the bib and hit me in the face. 6/7. I know, I know. Stooopid. 

But it made me think about decision-making.
Big ones, small ones, life changing ones.
Inconsequential ones. 

Sometimes you just gotta jump.
Sure, check the water depth.
Sure, check the wind.

But, for the love of Pete (c'mon Raiders, go get John Harbaugh!), make a decision or you'll never know if the 6 or the 7 was right!!

Here's to all of us making some stooopid and bold decisions in 2026! 🙌

“Listen...I’ll cheer for my team and you cheer for yours.”  Ooof...

Two dads.
Raised voices. 
Red, flushed faces.
The whole gym hushes. 
Even the players take a glance.
This was a  recent IRL observation of mine in the stands during a JV boys basketball game near where I live. The overzealous fathers simmered down--thankfully--but only after the two moms quietly scolded them. Yea, moms!

Here's another one. Sophomore game, low attendance, fairly quiet gym.
Angry dad stood up and full WWE-challenged a ref to a “let's go right now!" moment in broad daylight! Wow. 

It was an eyebrow raising, head shaking, "are you serious moment?" for me. 
The “let's go right now!" obviously was NOT a lunch invite. And FWIW, based on appearances, the guy wouldn’t be able to fight his way out of a wet paper bag. So, there's that. 

Here are a few questions to ask 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 the game, 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 the competition, and definitely 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 hitting the Buffoon Button in the heat of the moment (adapt for your circumstances):
