Integrated Performance Digital Marketing Manager- Europe

Responsible for strategizing and managing digital Performance Marketing and media campaigns with a focus on key European markets and channels.
Helping grow the market share by using digital ecosystems and media to drive sales across e-retailers, as well own direct-to-consumer platform, which is a key strategic ambition. 
Key media activations to plan together with our agency partners include, but are not limited to,
(digital) TV, display, SEA, and Paid Social. 
The planning of all media activities in an integrated approach, as well as linking any digital media with above-the-line media, within an integrated journey and ecosystem.
Liase closely with agencies as well as with the MarCom Lead, eCom D2C and Sales managers to create campaigns that serve the overall Sales and Marketing objectives across the full consumer decision journey.
Connecting learnings and best practice activations across channels and markets and
creating insights and optimizations based on data and consumer behavior are part of the role.
Exchanging insights with the US Digital Team as well supporting an increased global learning.
Direct accountability for digital Performance Marketing KPI’s and delivering strong ROAS figures that accelerate the business growth.
Develop and lead Performance marketing plans for key markets, addressing all relevant digital media touchpoints in the journey to grow awareness amongst target audience, increase conversion rate, and
overall ROAS.
Working across multiple areas of activation including, Prospecting, Engage, Retargeting and
Close (PERC model)
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and plan for media and content
enhancements, digital campaigns, promotional initiatives, merchandizing strategies, test &
learn activities, content updates etc. Create, maintain and socialize initiative roadmaps to align
teams, timing, budget and prioritize resource.
Managing the agency partners to unlock their full potential & manage media marketing budget

I see so many eCommerce teams in 2026 saying: “Ads got expensive.”

Most of the time, it’s not the platform.

It’s the operating system.

If you still manage growth mainly by short-term ROAS, you’ll end up:
under-investing in acquisition, over-discounting to “make numbers work,”
and building a customer base that doesn’t come back.

The shift that’s working right now is simple:

Stop scaling channels. 

Start scaling themes.

Pick 1 theme your customers actually care about (sleep, gut, energy, stress, etc.) and build 3 assets:

1.) Deep-Dive page (mini guide that creates clarity + trust)
2.) MOF entry (7-day tutorial or a short quiz)
3.) Program offer (30-day path > random bundles)

Then measure what matters:

1.) contribution margin
2.) 30/90-day CLV
3.) not just same-day ROAS

This creates the loop:

Paid → first purchase → email + guidance → repeat purchase → higher CLV → more room to scale paid.

Performance Marketing in 2026 isn’t about ROAS.

It’s about relevance.

And most Ecom brands are getting crushed — because they still run ads like it’s 2020.

Here’s what changed:

→ CPMs are higher
→ AI made content cheap — and attention expensive
→ The customer got smarter
→ Algorithms don’t reward ads, they reward truth

The brands that scale in 2026 have one thing in common:

They stop selling products.
They start selling emotions, identity, and belief.

If your ad can be replaced by a competitor’s in 2 seconds — you’re done.

The winning campaigns go deep:

 → What do people fear?
 → What do they hate about the category?
 → What do they want, but never say out loud?

That’s where performance lives now.

It’s not “add to cart.”
It’s “this finally speaks to me.”

You can’t media buy your way out of bad messaging anymore.

You need strategic angles, emotional insight, and content that makes people feel seen.
