I co-founded and organised the very first year of the Café Numérique in Brussels. 
The goal was, and is still so, to help non-geek or less connected people understand how digital life is, how they can handle it, and what is the whole purpose of online identity.
We managed to share our passion through weekly conferences and workshop, with various themes such as discussions about digital photography, online tools and media (Twitter, Facebook, etc), online copyrights, music, ...
People were invited to come and listen to lecturers, in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Free entrance, succesful qualitative audience and speakers, and weekly meetings were the main ingredients of the whole story.

The first year of the Café Numérique in Brussels was amazing, since we started it from scratch, with a very positive result: more than a 1.000 followers, and sometimes, more than 150 attendees!

From now on, other cities have decided to create their own "Café Numerique" (Liège, Charleroi, Namur, Mons, etc).

Thumbs up to the whole founding team, and the new team that continues to spread the digital love in Belgium. Thanks to all of them, it was an amazing experience, that I might embrace once again in the future :-)

🔎 Un jour, un dossier : PFAS à Bruxelles : ce qu'on sait vraiment

82 parcelles contaminées. Un site à Uccle avec des taux jusqu'à 1 058 fois la norme. 97 % des analyses d'eau potable qui dépassent le seuil européen pour le TFA. Un procès historique contre 3M avec 1 400 plaignants. Et une facture européenne estimée à 440 milliards d'euros d'ici 2050.

Les "polluants éternels" ne sont pas un problème lointain. Ils sont dans nos sols, dans nos eaux souterraines, dans nos réservoirs.

J'ai compilé dans un dossier unique l'ensemble des données publiques disponibles sur la contamination PFAS en Région bruxelloise : chiffres clés, chronologie du cas Sicli à Uccle, état de l'eau potable, cadre réglementaire, contexte juridique européen et enjeux à suivre.

Pas de commentaire partisan. Les faits, les sources, les chiffres.
Parce qu'on ne peut pas débattre sérieusement d'un sujet qu'on ne comprend pas encore.

Vandaag verscheen op BRUZZ - Vlaams-Brusselse Media een uitgebreid artikel van journalist Emmanuel Vanbrussel over de Brussels Governance Monitor. Ik wil hen hierbij oprecht bedanken voor deze grondige en nauwkeurige berichtgeving.

Wat mij bijzonder raakt, is dat het artikel precies weergeeft wat het project wil zijn: een neutrale, meertalige tool die Brusselaars helpt om de complexe gewestelijke besluitvorming beter te begrijpen. Geen meningen, geen kleuren, enkel feiten, bronnen en transparantie.
Dit soort journalistieke aandacht is cruciaal voor burgerinitiatieven zoals governance.brussels. Het bevestigt dat er een reële behoefte bestaat aan toegankelijke informatie over het Brusselse beleid, en dat één gemotiveerde burger, met de juiste tools, al een verschil kan maken.

Het avontuur is nog maar net begonnen. Bedankt aan iedereen die het project volgt, feedback geeft en mee helpt verspreiden.

Je fais ça seul. Le travail que devrait faire toute une équipe, je le fais depuis mon bureau avec de l'IA et une conviction : les citoyens bruxellois méritent de savoir ce qui se passe avec leur argent.

Un podcast hebdomadaire. Court. Factuel. En français. Ce qui a bougé, ce qui bloque, ce qui coûte.

Cette semaine au Parlement bruxellois : la DPR présentée lundi, l'opposition qui tire à boulets rouges mardi, la confiance votée vendredi. 51 voix pour, 27 contre. La crise de 615 jours est officiellement terminée.
Mais entre les 24 pages de la déclaration et la réalité d'un budget à construire, il y a un espace immense. C'est cet espace que BGM documente.

Au sommaire : la DPR et ses zones d'ombre budgétaires, le bilinguisme (acte II), les premières frictions dans la majorité, et un nouveau dossier sur la fusion des polices.

Pourtant, ce sont eux qui vont faire tourner le gouvernement bruxellois au quotidien. Pas les ministres. Leurs chefs de cabinet.

Dans l'épisode 2 du Briefing BGM, je regarde sous le capot de la coalition Dilliès. Qui sont ces gens, d'où viennent-ils, et qu'est-ce que leurs profils révèlent sur les rapports de force dans cette coalition à sept partis.

Aussi dans cet épisode :

→ Le budget 2026 est sur la table du Parlement. Vote prévu les 26 et 27 mars. Si adopté, Bruxelles sort des douzièmes provisoires pour la première fois depuis 2024.
→ La COCOM reste sans budget jusqu'en mai. Les ASBL de santé fonctionnent à l'aveugle.
→ Le MR revient au pouvoir régional après 22 ans d'absence. Ça change tout dans la mécanique des cabinets.
