Because of my own struggles with anxiety and sleep issues, I've spent over 20 years researching anxiety and how it affects every part of our life. I teach resilience as a skill that can be learned, practiced, and incorporated into daily living.

I am different than many speakers/presenters – I am an Integrative Hypnotist.  What the heck is that?  It’s hypnosis and a gazillion other modalities all integrated to find the best way to help people rewire and retrain their brains so they can break free from the chains of stress and anxiety.

I am also the author of “Goodbye Anxiety, Hello Freedom,” with 35 simple ways to calm stress and anxiety.

My first career was as Celebrity Radio DJ “Stevie Knox.” My radio morning show had me spinning into insomnia. I was also a mom to two small kids at the time & I realized I had suffered my entire life from anxiety but didn't know it. The medication worked for a short time & then stopped and things went from bad to worse. I knew I needed to find a way out of the prison of anxiety, so I began researching holistic & natural ways to calm my stress and anxiety. 

I found hypnosis & everything changed. I felt a sense of peace I had never experienced; I was dealing with life better (my husband had been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness) & I knew I had a mission to help others with this knowledge. I began using my voice to literally hypnotize my clients to make incredible life changes just as I had used my voice on the radio to bring listeners back day after day.

Hypnosis is not what we see on TV and in the movies.  It is a powerful way to access our subconscious mind – and THAT is where REAL change happens.

It all started with a bath mat. 

When I made my way to Tinsel Town by way of New York City I was amazed by the number of award shows rolling out the red carpet for the rich & famous. Everyone deserves the red carpet treatment so I rolled out my own Red Carpet, albeit a red bath mat, on Hollywood Boulevard. With bath rug underfoot, I welcomed the “common folk'' award show style, to be interviewed, celebrate, and walk the red carpet. My well-intentioned ‘bit’ evolved into an award-winning web series Hot on the Red Carpet where I interviewed celebrities (oh, the irony), however, as cool as it was chatting it up with Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson (double visitor!), I couldn't tear myself away from the REAL stars, everyday people. 

As CEO of my own company, Hot Red Carpet, I work as a speaker, host, facilitator, and confidence coach helping individuals and groups step into their spotlight. Services include 'Survey Sayz', a high energy, fun and fast paced team bonding game hosted by yours truly;  'Building Your Red Carpet Confidence', interactive group teaching sessions; speaker appearances; and one-on-one confidence coaching.

With 20 years of comedy experience under my Spanx, (comedy sketches began during my childhood summers in a convent in Queens), paired with my time working in the corporate world, I understand the need for people to connect, feel valued, play, and be uplifted. Stress causes 80 percent of illness, my work centers on increasing the levity of any occasion adding value that feels good.
