Wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad? Who doesn't? But it's like the more money we come across the more problems we see...

Although there are way more billionaires than ever before, the vast, vast majority of us will never have billionaires problems...but money stress and anxiety are universal. As is the desire for financial freedom and independence. Money is a powerful tool creating options and choices. How we live creates how we use it and how we use it creates how we live.

We all learn from the actions of others so why not take the opportunity to learn from the most financially successful cohort of all time. Especially when UBS pulls it all together for us with some very practical, useful, and actionable takeaways:

* Extreme wealth is built by owning productive assets (businesses, equity) over long periods, not by trading headlines.

* Their money is active across countries and asset classes. They’re worried about tariffs, geopolitics, and other risks just like everybody.

* A massive wealth transfer is underway, but over 80% of billionaires say they want their kids to be able to succeed independently, not just live off a portfolio.

* Longer lifespans and focus on legacy shifts the thinking to decades long time horizons… and updating wills and trusts regularly.

Translated to “tachlis” for normal earners:

Save and invest every month, automatically. 

Keep enough liquid to cover emergencies and invest the rest.

Diversify globally; don’t bet everything on one country and definitely not an employer.

Use tax‑advantaged accounts and make a simple will. Keep all stakeholders in the loop and make decisions as a unit.

Teach kids and others how to earn, save, and invest. Get them going with some skin in the game early for long term payoff.

Mindset and attitude are key. And health really is wealth.

You don’t need billionaire money to copy billionaire behavior. You just need a simple system you actually follow. Sometimes the first steps are the hardest. 

What actions or shifts are you hoping to make to create the life you deserve and desire? It doesn't have to be all about the pursuit of more at the cost of all else. But building value,  stacking up equity and wealth creates the environment to pursue, achieve, and leave great things.

I mean, if you didn't know this already, where have you been? I don't know what metrics or rubrics this is based on but Israel at #1 is so expected, so unsurprising...that, to me, is what is completely mind-blowing. 

Don't fact check me but seems the Switzerland, in 5th place is closer to the US at 2nd, than the US is to Israel on this StartupBlink report.

It's the last Fed meeting of the year so this week will be all about how they view and analyze the limited data they have. Clearly, the labor market has become the top concern, even as inflation stays stubborn. What they do in terms of cutting or not is one piece; what'll set the tone going forward is what Powell and others say about it.

We also have key players in the AI boom reporting earnings - Oracle, Broadcom - and Costco Wholesale will provide important insights into the all powerful and (formerly?) free spending consumer.

Asking for me, because I don't mind admitting I don't know something...how are we defining AI companies? Every startup talks about integrating, leveraging, and/or levetating on AI...so can someone please explain to me what's going on here?

Netflix gets what it wants!! This is really incredibly huge news for content, media, entertainment, sports and an important moment for how, well. everything is distributed into the future. It brings so much under one giant umbrella that in any other time would probably it be really doable just based on market dominance and regulations. But things are different this time, it seems. 

The concern above and beyond the monopoly piece is just how much content feels like neverending AI slop. Competition is good, especially in an attention economy. Incentives drive outcomes; what incentives does a dela like this encourage and create?

Entrepreneurs that have a clear, purposeful mission, an attitude that nothing will stop them, deep reserves of resilience, and a clear focus on the problem they're solving have an excellent recipe for building successful businesses.

Talking to Lady Margareth Johana Gonzalez Avila I got the real sense of that, especially here where she talks about how it was always predestined to start something. So much of what we do, how and why we do it is shaped by how we were brought up, what we experienced early in life. That has clearly lit a fire in her to create and build her platform into a community building machine. 

More and more people are taking the entrepreneurial route; nearly 4 in 10 professionals say they'll be working for themselves asap. There's certainly a shift happening, supported and forced by new technologies and priorities.
