I love small group facilitation.

When leaders from different sectors lean in.
When someone shares a real example instead of a polished talking point.
When one insight sparks another.
When you can almost feel ideas building on top of each other in real time.

Small groups have a different rhythm.

They’re more intimate.
More honest.
More generous.

It’s less about presenting and more about listening.
Less about being right and more about learning.

Facilitating those spaces is about holding the structure lightly.
Watching the clock so no one has to.
Making sure every voice has room.
Asking the question that helps the group go one layer deeper.

There’s something powerful about creating a space where people are willing to share what they’re seeing, what they’re struggling with, and what they’re trying.

Not to impress.

To contribute.

That exchange and the cross-pollination of ideas is what I love most.

That’s the work behind the work.

And it never gets old.

I’ve been pretty heads down this week.

Working through deliverables for clients.

Building out plans for new engagements.

It’s that deep focus work that I really love.
No noise. No rushing between things. Just time to think, map ideas out, and work through challenges properly.

There’s something really freeing about that kind of space. It’s also where the most exciting ideas tend to show up.

Not every week is like this. But when it is, I’m always reminded how much I enjoy the craft of the work itself.

Solving problems. Building plans. Figuring things out.

That part never gets old.

There is a moment in almost every skill where things start to feel easier.

Not because the work became simple.

Because you have done it enough times that your brain recognizes the patterns. 

You see what matters faster. You know where to focus.

That moment happened to me this week.

I was reviewing an application for someone and preparing feedback. As I worked through it, the adjustments that were needed felt obvious. The gaps. 

The places where the story could be clearer. The pieces that needed to connect.

The suggestions just rolled off the tongue.

It reminded me how much practice sits behind moments like that.

Years of reading applications. Writing them. Seeing what works. Seeing what does not.

Practice is what creates that shift.

The more time you spend learning the fundamentals, the more room you have later to experiment, adapt, and think creatively.

It applies to almost everything. Leadership. Strategy. Writing. Problem solving.

The early reps may feel repetitive.

They are also what make the interesting work possible later.

It's that we can work this hard and do this much, and they still laugh at us when they think we're not listening. 

It's all of it. 

It's untenable to live in this reality right now as a woman and a mom, and I'm going to do more about it. But in the meantime,  I do apologize for missing your email.

I have one strict rule for writing LinkedIn hooks.

(been ruthless with my clients on this in 2025 & '26)

My strict rule:

If your hook could be written by 10,000 other people, you are instantly a commodity.

So before you post, ask:

“Can anyone else write this?”

If yes, your hook is generic → rewrite it.

If no, your hook is specific → it stands out → it earns attention → it’s more likely to pull in new followers.

How to fix a “yes” hook (quick and easy):

Add one specific detail from Lived Experience.

- a moment (“Last week I…”)
- a result (“In January my client…”)
- a confession (“I used to…”)
- a quote (“A client asked me…”)
- a number (“I’ve coached 38…”)

That’s it. 

Literally the same idea but now it feels real and it stops blending in with AI-tinted advice posts.

e.g. 

In this post, I mention "I have this strict rule" and "ruthless with my clients". words like "I" and "my" force Lived Experience and that = more unique.

I can't see myself slowing down on this rule.

This is where I say "the numbers don't matter".

But...they do.

I've been running my one person writing business for 4 years now.

- No one's asked to see my portfolio since 2022
- I never have to 'convince' someone to work with me
- I've closed $100,000s in deals without pitches or calls

The follower count no DOUBT plays a part in that.

Will I stop chasing followers?

Probably not tbh!

It's a crazy indication of the amount of people I've reached over the years. And I'm damn proud of that.

No I don't reach all those people with every post. 

And no, impact is not measured by follower count. 

But having a ton of followers is pretty cool!

If I can:

- Earn the money I do + do it easier
- Keep writing and enjoying writing
- Reach more people, grow more followers

Then, you're gonna have to fight me on this one :)

- ⁠Ascend lower tier clients → higher tiers of proximity on a quarterly basis

4.⁠ ⁠Louis Butterfield​. Niche: Video.

- Makes 1-2 videos per week + panel lives
- Short form to go niche viral, long form to stack trust
- Uses Claude to write scripts + posts (edits in his voice)
- Mix of unhinged zany beard energy and client results
- Simple 5-10 day campaigns monthly to create urgency
- Simple waitlist to capture demand
- Once on waitlist, nurture w emails + videos 2-3x/wk
- Run small cohorts + 1:1 to go deep
- Markets client results

We've all been posting for 2+ years.

It's March 14th. I run a one-person writing business. I've generated $89,200.81 this year. And I've done it without:

- being featured in Forbes
- speaking / attending any events
- nominating myself for any awards
- being "invited to" the linkedin office 🤣
- booking (+ posting about) first class flights
- automating my workflow top to bottom with AI

I'm just a random English dude living in Cyprus, writing and making some money to fund my simple little life.

In 2026, I've made money from:

- Community memberships
- Digital products
- PDFs
- Video courses
- Masterclass recordings
- Templates

Gimme my laptop, an oat cap and I'm good to go.

I built this business with one intention:

To be able to be present with my wife, build a family and actually be able to enjoy the amazing beaches 30 minutes from our front door.

More money is no good if I can't do this.

Of course, I'd love to make even MORE money. I'm human and greedy.

But my goal is to do that without:

- hiring + building a team
- travelling 100,000s of miles
- needing to attend or speak at events

I just don't need that in my life. 

It serves no purpose to me whatsoever. And if that means I make LESS money, so be it. The business funds the life, because the life was always the point.

(i love my business though and it really is fun)

My simple advice for you:

You do not NEED be everywhere. Doing everything.

Not at all.

You need something that fits the life you actually want.

P.S. it's a bit of a routine for me to start comparing myself to everyone else around me in the first 3 months of a new calendar year. 

i hate that about myself. but i know i'm not alone in this. 

so i don't write this to show off, i really don't. i write this to show younger me or even alternate universe me who's still stuck in a job not sure how i can start my own thing or what's even possible when i go my own route, what IS possible.

i hope this gives just one person a little kick up the bum to think differently and go after what they want.

It's going to be huge.

Yesterday I reverse engineered my best performing LinkedIn post in March so far. The post got:

- 21k impressions (nearly 2x average)
- 148 saves
- 45 link clicks

I wanted to know exactly why it worked.

So I broke it down line by line.

Here's what I found:

1. The hook put the reader in the middle of Lived Experience. Timeline. Location. Character. Action. Stakes. All five elements were there. Nothing special or crazy about the experience. But intreresting enough to make someone lean in a bit.

2. Only I could have written it. I was on that Zoom call. I gave that specific advice. My personal fingerprint is what made it feel real.

3. The curiosity gap. Got the reader's investment first, then opened the loop after. Most people do it backwards. They create the cliffhanger before the reader cares. This post made you care, then cut before the reveal.

4. The lesson was instantly usable. Something you could apply in the next 5 minutes. Useful things get saved. Saved posts push impressions.

5. The ending was short and simple. One line summarising the lesson of the post. Memorable and easy enough to digest.

Here's the exact framework for you to save:

Scene → Problem → One-word fix → Example → Why it works → Proof → Lesson → CTA

Everything you do has a LinkedIn post in it.

Don't "come up with ideas" → document things.

This is way faster, easier and fun to do.

Last Tuesday on a Zoom​, an agency founder told me he lost his biggest client. Nightmare. But weirdly, he wasn't panicked:

He was fired up.

"It gives me more headspace to focus on what actually matters now."

It stuck with me because I've been there.

Back in 2022 after six months running my ghostwriting business, I had five clients paying $800/month. I didn't have much more capacity, so I put my prices up to $2,500/month. 

Couple weeks later: closed a client at $2,500/month.
So I put my prices up again to $3,000/month.
Couple weeks later: closed a client at $3,000/month.

I was now earning more from two clients, than I was my previous five combined.

My market value had gone up. It no longer made financial sense for me to serve customers at $800/month.

So I sent an email out to my existing clients informing them of a price increase from $800/month to $3,000/month. And if they didn't accept, then we would stop working together.

4 out of 5 said no but they understood my decision.
1 said it's ridiculous and blocked me.

It felt terrifying. But it was the best thing I ever did.

I gained more time to:

- Build my first digital product
- Start an email list
- Make better more impactful content
- Network and build relationships

And now 4 years later, it's paid off. Because I:

- Get to be picky with who I work with
- Work a lot less for a lot more money
- Attract advisory roles for companies (like MagicPost​)
- Created a whole lot of leverage in my life

Don't waste your time on people that don't value you.

Do the right thing for YOU.

This LinkedIn post got 151 likes, but:

143 saves. Insane like → save ratio.

Here's how I created the post in 6 steps (without really spending much time or brain power writing it):

1. Took a Loom​ training video I recorded
2. Copy and pasted the transcript into magicpost.in
3. Took a format I saw Greg Isenberg​ use
4. Combined the two (format + transcript)
5. Did a 'once over', tweaking + editing
6. Threw a TL;DR: on the end for skimmers

Done.

If you're sitting on:

- podcast clips
- client training videos
- call recordings

Do this and you'll have LinkedIn posts for months.

Alright. It's time I come clean on this:

It's not just me running my business 🤷‍♂️😂 

I know, I've literally lied to you all this whole time.

I post constantly, sharing with you guys:
