Adviser Community Manager

HSBC

7+ years Project Management experience working across digital, regulatory and transformation projects within financial services 

Key projects included:
- Implementation of Apple Pay platform across HSBC Group brands (HSBC, First Direct, Marks and Spencer Bank). Responsible for the marketing and communications workstream ensuring that internal communications and training was delivered to circa 150k employees across various digital channels

- Commercial Transformation, where I led a functional team of 3 Project Managers and 2 Business Analysts based in the UK and India to deliver a portfolio of projects with annualised benefits of £7million and cost savings of £1 million

- Migration of  Limit Marking and Loan Drawdown Control from the UK to Global Teams, a European Audit Requirement. Identified additional areas that were being duplicated and helped reduce the original FTE estimate of 18 down to 12, a cost saving of $11k per FTE which was in addition to the stated project benefits

Confidently create project documentation including Terms of Reference, Project Plans, Risks and Issue Logs and Actions Logs. Delivered strong communication and reporting to all stakeholders, across all levels. Ran working party meetings and workshops as well as deputising for Programme Manager at Project Steering Committee.

Project Manager

Responsible for headcount management, recruitment, performance management and pay and reward across the Region. Also the development and management of local trainee population.

Planned and executed internal and external events.

As Regional Support Manager, provided high level support to the Regional and Deputy Commercial Directors, acting as focal point for the Commercial Centres regarding queries and other HR issues. Managed sensitive and confidential information and frequently liaised with senior management and the Commercial Central Team in Head Office.

Arranged conferences, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for members of Regional Team, ensuring that appropriate technologies were used to keep costs at a minimum and best deals achieved.

Regularly prepared PowerPoint presentations, handouts and information packs for monthly Area Leadership Meetings as well as Management Trainee Events. Took minutes and actions in team meetings for distribution.

Developed a headcount forecasting tool for weekly Regional meeting which enabled speedy understanding of current issues and people forecasts. This helped Midlands Region support the central squeeze on headcount by allowing a delay in some recruitment without any material impact on the business. Completed 2009 at 283 FTE against a plan of originally 300, later reduced to 290.

Provided the highest level of service and develop my role as ‘trusted adviser’. 

Manage and mitigate credit risk reducing bank’s exposure, maintaining good credit statistics

- Responsible for and managed all core events at Community Church including Sunday mornings (400+ in attendance) and all conferences. Ran internal projects across multiple UK sites and coordinated communication both internally and externally.

- Successfully delivered the rebrand of Community Church which included a new website (www.mycommunitychurch.org.uk), CRM system, print materials and communications within project budget and specified time frame.

- Oversaw all internal and external communication for CCCH. This included the website, blogs, podcasts, weekly email newsletter, social media and videos of which I introduced, designed all the creatives and implemented.

- Managed the marketing campaign which included social media account and liaised regularly with local press on and offline, informing of local news and stories.

- Event Management for all conferences, workshops and offsites.
