Transforming Weibull and other reliability models into continuously learning systems through AI simulation is where asset management becomes truly prescriptive. It’s exciting to see this thinking gain momentum across the SAP ecosystem.

Yesterday I shared my first impressions on sessions about Predictive Maintenance, RCM, Asset Maintenance 5.0, and deep dives into data acquisition and diagnostic hardware at the Asset Performance conference. Today, I want to share one idea that really stuck with me—something that could be transformational if applied across the entire asset lifecycle:

Weibull distribution.
It’s a statistical tool that uses failure data from operations—data that’s often easy to get. It doesn’t need huge datasets, and because it’s based on probability distributions, it provides interpretable confidence intervals. That means maintenance experts can use it with confidence.
Of course, it comes with challenges: modeling expertise and thorough data cleansing are essential.

But the opportunities are huge. Startup Cosmo Tech showed a very innovative approach how operational data (e.g. failures, financials, risk) can be used to simulate different maintenance policies and predict their impact on CAPEX, OPEX, or any custom risk KPI you define is relevant for your business. This enables to test strategies before implementing them—using models they can actually understand.

My takeaway: Weibull distribution shouldn’t be a one-time tool for investment decisions. It should be part of a continuous loop:
- Define strategies based on simulations
- Implement and measure performance of such strategies
- Learn from cases where the policies been violates or fails, e.g. when using CBM or RUL predictions missed a failure beyond what is to be expected from a statistical model.

With continuous closed loops to monitor, improve, and optimize your maintenance strategies and operations, it would be possible to unleash the full power of Weibull distribution—or, as a matter of fact, any AI or model-based tool.

We have to stop attacking people for “cringey” sales behavior.

Because the truth is: 

Most people aren’t waking up saying…
“How can I be spammy today?”

They’re saying…
“How can I pay my bills?”

Acknowledging that fact matters.

Existing today is expensive. 
And people are in survival mode

Housing, groceries, childcare… the basics cost more than ever, and most people don’t feel financially safe.

That’s the actual problem. 
People don’t feel safe.

So what we call “bad” sales tactics are usually just symptoms not character flaws.

- Symptoms of insecurity.
- Symptoms of people under pressure.
- Symptoms of not knowing a better way to sell.

Symptoms of trying to build a business when they feel like they are drowning.

This is why empathy matters.

When I see desperate outreach or messy content…

I don’t shame it.
I don’t roll my eyes.
I don’t post rants calling people the problem.

I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I know exactly what survival-selling looks like and why it happens. I’ve been there myself!

People don’t need judgment.

They need support.
They need training.
They need money to survive.

(And a better sales system.)

Fix the root → the behavior changes.
Support the person → the tactics improve.

If you’re selling from survival right now,
You’re not broken. 

You just haven’t been taught a better way yet.
And that’s fixable.

So let’s all agree to be kinder.

Instead of encouraging their teams to post and teaching them how to build personal brands to drive revenue.

- They tell them not to post.
- They claim it’s about “brand safety”.
- But that’s not the real fear.

The real fear is:

- You’ll succeed at building your personal brand.
- You’ll attract new opportunities and jobs. 
- You’ll outgrow them and leave. 

They need to realize that nothing lasts forever
and if you do leave, you’ll have already brought in more than enough revenue to make it worth it.

So here’s the move:

- Post anyway
- Don’t post anything controversial
- Block everyone at your company

Because this is your personal page.
And no one gets to take that from you.

Or the opportunities that come with it.

Duhhh. It’s not rocket science.

I’m seeing it on my own content. Creators with 100k+ followers are seeing the exact same drop.

Not because our content got worse.
Not because our content isn’t valuable.
Not because our content isn’t “educational”.

But because LinkedIn wants our money.💰

They’re not even hiding it anymore.

But honestly…
I’m not mad about it.

I’ve relied on outbound and events to get clients on LinkedIn for 15 years and I teach my clients to do the same.

Organic is tough for most people.
(There’s always outliers you prob aren’t one.)

Outreach + ads = the fastest way to get results.

That’s always been true.
Nothing’s changed.

So focus on what you can control.

Here’s my 10-Step Enterprise Sales Playbook.
The approach I’ve taught teams for 8 years.

1. Build a sniper list.
Identify your top companies and every key decision maker.

2. Use LinkedIn.
Connect with your target buyers, but don’t ask for meetings. Start genuine convos. Comment on both personal and biz posts.

3. Host events that matter.
Invite your target buyers to in-person events or webinars they’d actually find useful. Be seen as someone who provides access and insight, not pressure.

4. Leverage mutual connections.
Use LinkedIn to find people in your network who already know your target buyers. Ask for warm introductions. It’s the fastest, most credible way in.

5. Post content.
From a personal page and position yourself as the go-to resource and expert while sprinkling in personal content. 

6. Stop blasting cold outreach.
No mass emails unless it’s for events. No long, spammy emails or DMs. Personalized short emails only!

7. Send a monthly newsletter 
Make it something your audience wants to read - not delete. Keep them short - share value, case studies, and results.

8. Advertise
Pay for ads across various platforms depending upon who your buyer is. Don’t be scared of dabbling with CTV and LinkedIn.

9. Nurture your current clients.
Engage with them on LinkedIn. Invite them to events. Go meet them in person.

10. Network.
Your existing network is your best source of future deals. So make the effort.

Building a pipeline for enterprise and niche markets is different.

You have to adjust your strategy.

If it’s not, I won’t take the deal.

Most LinkedIn creators are too scared to check this. 😱

(Because it reveals if their buyers are actually viewing their profile.)

If you’re brave, this 2-minute check will tell you instantly whether your buyers are seeing your content and landing on your profile (or not).

Here’s what to do:

1. Go to Sales Navigator
2. Click on "Lead Filters"
3. Click “Viewed your profile recently”
4. Add filters for your ideal buyers  (titles, geo, company size etc.)
5. Then see how many of your potential buyers are viewing your profile.

Even if your engagement is good and you have a high following… the results may shock you. 

I just checked this for a client and it immediately explained why his content wasn’t converting. Only 25 people in his target buyer pool viewed his profile in 90 days.

My results..
I had 6,500 people view my profile.
And 1,500 of them are my ideal customer profile.

(If I included individuals who can join my Skool Community this number is closer to 3,000.)

Be brave, go see who viewed your profile.
