Now dynamic pricing is standard practice for hotel reservations, train and bus tickets, car rentals and most services in the travel industry.

Amazon is known to have been using dynamic pricing since at least the year 2000, when it applied algorithms to set the prices of DVDs.
Many e-commerce websites currently use one form or another of dynamic pricing.

Retail companies are using dynamic pricing - whenever you see electronic price tags in a shop or a supermarket, there is a very high chance that prices change pretty often.

Google Ads rates are set using dynamic pricing algorithms.

Uber introduced surge pricing in 2014 and most ride sharing platforms use variations of this.

Tickets for sporting events and concerts are priced using dynamic pricing.

Beyond fixed rate cards: how IT leaders adopt dynamic pricing

I’m an attorney with over 10 years of experience in digital and commerce business law. Since 2017, I’ve been running my own law office—Legally Remote—helping digital and technology businesses navigate legal complexities, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks. I specialize in drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements, IT service contracts, NDAs, and other business agreements, always staying up to date with the latest legal developments.

I provide practical, business-focused legal advice to startups, e-commerce platforms, SaaS companies, service providers, and technology businesses across Europe. My work covers everything from regulatory compliance and consumer protection to intellectual property and data protection. I’ve also worked with companies in med-tech, real estate, the circular economy, and online intermediary platforms. In addition to my legal practice, I mentor startups (see Rubik Garage and Rubik Hub Scale to USA programmes) helping them understand legal risks and structure their businesses effectively.

Beyond my legal practice, I’m actively involved in legal tech and innovation. Since 2020, I’ve been the Ambassador for Romania at the European Legal Technology Association (ELTA), serving as a bridge between the Romanian legal tech ecosystem and the broader European landscape. I also served as Vice President of ELTA from 2023 to 2025, and in 2025, I joined the ELTA Advisory Board, continuing to contribute to discussions on legal innovation and digital transformation in the legal industry.

My background includes a law degree from the University of Bucharest and an LL.M. in International Contracts and Compliance from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, where I earned a scholarship. I also completed a research year at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, funded by a scholarship from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. In November 2024, I completed a double MBA at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Paris) and Bucharest Business School (ASE), further strengthening my expertise at the intersection of law, business, and technology.

With a strong eye for detail and a passion for technology, I integrate legal expertise with a tech-forward approach, using digital tools like cloud platforms, CRMs, or project management systems (Asana, Basecamp, etc.) to streamline processes. I’m fluent in English, with intermediate proficiency in French and Portuguese, and basic knowledge of German.
