This is a closing technique I wish more speakers would stop avoiding.

It’s called: **The Accountability Close.**

Inspiration without a next step is just… vibes.
And vibes do not change companies. Vibes do not change lives.

Here’s what’s happening in this clip:

1) I lift the audience into identity first.
“You have the power to transform your company and the world in the same way that you are transformed.”
That line is not a compliment. It’s a transfer of agency. I’m handing the power back to them.

2) Then I make it concrete with a question.
“Under your villains, which weapons do you choose to slay them?”
This is how you turn a big idea into a decision.

3) I force action in the room.
“I want you to write that down.”
That’s a speaker move. When people write, they commit. When they commit, they remember.

4) I call out the truth with humor so it lands.
“Otherwise, this was just a cool session with a lady with some big hair and a pink fuzzy dress… what stood between you and drinks.”
That line does two things: it gets a laugh, and it exposes passive listening.

5) I draw a clear line: no next step, wasted hour.
“I don’t wanna waste your time. The only way I can’t waste your time is if you take the next step.”
That’s leadership. Not begging. Not performing. Leading.

6) Then I stack belief, stakes, and empowerment.
“You may not know what lies ahead, but you are capable.”
“You already started out good.”
This is the part where the audience feels seen and challenged at the same time.

7) And I end with a clean CTA that serves them.

Follow, email, LinkedIn. Simple, direct, no fumbling.

If your close sounds like, “Thanks for having me,” and then you vanish… you’re leaving impact and income on the table.
