As a member on the Container Squad, I played a critical role in managing the Kubernative platform. This service, built on top of Kubernetes, provides developers with a modern end-to-end experience for managing their application lifecycle while integrating with other internal offerings. Our team was responsible for managing over 30 clusters spread across various entities within the group to serve +10M MAU.

My responsibilities on the team included operational maintenance, including on-call rotation and N3 support. Additionally, I worked on building and deploying a long-term and multi-tenant storage back-end for metrics. I also played a leading role in developing zero downtime Kubernetes Control Plane as well as Ubuntu upgrades automations.

I advised customers on resource management observability, deployment strategies, and optimization. System administration tasks such as patch management, Linux hardening, and SSH key rotation automations were also part of my daily responsibilities.

Furthermore, I collaborated with publishers to integrate solutions and worked on side projects to improve our internal systems. I led the modernization of our capacity planning application with a dedicated team. Additionally, I built a CLI that enabled multi-inventory deployment through Ansible.

Platform & Reliability Engineer

As an apprentice SRE, I gained experience in Kubernetes administration and providing L3 support. Additionally, I worked on developing cloud native applications, including creating custom controllers for managing resource quotas and evaluating them against policies and actual resources. I also developed synthetic testing for PaaS services.

In order to improve the software development process, I led the implementation and deployment of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tooling. This included building and maintaining platform deployments, upgrades, and migrations using infrastructure-as-code.

I also provided customer assistance throughout their application lifecycles and helped integrate their applications onto the platform. Finally, I had the opportunity to speak to clients and provide demonstrations of the platform.

Site Reliability Engineer

As a member of the Incubation Platform, I contributed to the operation of IaaS / PaaS Infrastructure supporting four distributed technologies, namely Big Data, Event Streaming, NoSQL, and Containers, in a multi-tenant environment.

My primary responsibilities included:
⋆ Creating, implementing, and maintaining a capacity planning application for tracking compute and storage usage on OpenStack and Ceph infrastructure. The tool's main objective was to maximize resource utilization while ensuring high availability of PaaS clusters. It also provided provisioning options and migration assistance and forecasted demand while simulating usage impact.
⋆ Leveraging infrastructure-as-code, I built and maintained infrastructure deployments
⋆ Developing distributed data processing and querying capabilities using Hive, Drill, and Spark to be used as internal training material to showcase the functionality of the platform.
⋆ Undertaking administration and deployment tasks on a Docker Swarm platform, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.

Software Engineer

During my time at SFR Business, I focused on developing automation tools in Python for managing Cisco LAN and WLC equipment. These tools were designed to facilitate configuration changes and integration into monitoring systems.

In addition, I was responsible for deploying remote LAN infrastructure. This involved working with the team to identify and implement the necessary solutions to meet our clients' needs.

I also utilized a network prototyping solution called Eve-NG. Through this platform, I was able to deploy and test various network configurations before implementing them in production environments.

Operations Engineer

As an IT Support, I have a strong track record of providing L2 support on tickets, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime for end-users. In addition, I have played a key role in maintaining the IT ticketing system.

I have also been responsible for lifecycle inventory management of desktop and laptops, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and enrolled. I have also overseen the Windows remastering process.

One of my key accomplishments was automating the configuration process for field engineer laptops tooling, streamlining the process and reducing the time required for manual setup. This initiative not only saved time but also ensured consistency across all laptops, resulting in fewer issues and increased efficiency for the team.

I also played a role in the rollout of smartphones with MDM, ensuring that all devices were properly configured and that users had the necessary tools and resources to be productive while on-the-go. Additionally, I participated in the migration of the LAN Cisco corporate network, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption for end-users.
