Recently, I have been approaching longevity very differently.

Here is what I’ve been doing:

1. Strengthening existing friendships instead of chasing new ones
2. Wearing non-synthetic clothing after a full closet cleanse
3. Deepening my relationship with my mom and my brother

5. Working less and protecting white space in my calendar

Alignment.

Finding stillness and being present can be powerful medicine.

My journey of self-growth taught me a powerful lesson:

➡️ how to sit still with my thoughts.

These were my mornings before

I would wake up, immediately check my phone, open my emails, and plan my day.

Not even one minute for a quiet coffee.

Getting ready and driving to work?

Was an exact 30-minute rush.

A clockwork routine with no room for delays or interruptions.

Clothes, food, everything was prepped in advance.

This was my morning.

Every single day.

The drive to work was like walking on thin ice, with every traffic delay getting on my nerves.

By the time I reached work, my mind was in overdrive

Bubbling up at the smallest interruption.

I had the perfect morning routine, yet my nervous system was on edge.

I knew I needed a change.

And so, I made some

• Woke up earlier
• Slowed down the morning rush
• Avoided distractions, opting for silence
• Started a 10-minute morning meditation
• Each evening, noted daily wins and areas for growth, pre-planning the next morning.
• Before bed, mentally walked through my morning routine, dedicating this time to myself.

Then something amazing happened

After a year of meditation and actively working on my nervous system, people started noticing a change in me.

➡️ “You're so calm even when things go wrong."

Those two simple changes were huge for my personal growth.

I’m now more grounded, less bothered by interruptions, and learned to set boundaries.

But, most importantly

The noise in my head had quieted down.

And I began to cherish silence.

Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint.

I used to think that success meant working around the clock. But I was WRONG!

I thought the more I worked, the faster I would reach my goals.
But soon, I hit a wall.
I felt drained, burnt out, and unproductive.

My health was suffering, and so was my business.

That’s when I realized something important:
Without self-care, even the best business ideas can crash.

Here’s how I learned to balance work and wellness:

➡️ Set boundaries.
I stopped working non-stop and learned to take breaks.
➡️ Prioritize health.
Eating well, exercising, and sleeping became my top priorities.
➡️ Schedule personal time.
I set aside time for myself, away from the business.

Taking care of myself allowed me to show up fully for my business.

Now, I’m more productive, creative, and focused than ever.

Success isn’t just about working hard.

It’s about working smart and taking care of yourself along the way.

Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s a must.

What my PhD didn’t teach me about success.

I used to think credentials were the key.

Published papers? Check.
Awards? Check.
Even got featured in the press.

But here’s what I realized:
Recognition doesn’t always equal real-world impact.

The turning point?

Understanding that science alone isn’t enough,
It has to connect.

The lessons no professor taught me:
1: Clarity > complexity
If people don’t get it, they can’t use it.

2: Empathy > expertise
Meet them where they are, not where you think they should be.

3: Conversation > citation
A 5-second TikTok can spark more action than a peer-reviewed paper.

Today, I measure success by lives changed, not publications.

PS. What’s one "textbook lesson" you’ve had to unlearn?

Working with health and wellness brands is more than just a job for me.

Here’s why:

Being involved in the research process means I stay up to date with the latest breakthroughs.
It’s like having a front-row seat to health innovation, how cool is that?

But what really drives me?

That’s both humbling and inspiring.

And, I’ve had the chance to connect with thought leaders I once admired from afar. People whose books I used to read are now part of my network.

That’s a career highlight.

This is what gets me excited every morning.
When your work aligns with your passion, every day feels meaningful.

Use this one word in your content to 5x your reach

“You”

Why? Because your audience’s favorite topic is… themselves.

Instead of this:

“This app tracks sleep patterns to help users rest better.”

Say this:
“Take control of your sleep with an app that helps YOU wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day.”

The second example makes it personal. And personal content creates connection.

Your audience isn’t looking for a general solution. They want to feel like you’re speaking directly to them, understanding their struggles, and offering a way to make their lives better.

The magic of the word “you” is that it shifts the focus from your product to their experience. It makes your message about them, not you.

Remember: Your product is the tool, but 'you' are the guide helping them achieve their goals.

How I tripled my HRV and improved my RHR 👇
after years of getting by on only 4 hours of sleep.

Getting by on low sleep used to be a badge of honor for me.

I used to think it was necessary to build my business in health and longevity.

How ironic! 

When a brain scan showed me I was heading to burnout,
and my newly purchased Oura ring gave me a horrible sleep score,
I had no choice but to finally look myself in the eye.

And I’ve worked with enough health and longevity founders to know that awareness is only part of the puzzle.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝:

First, the struggle to ALLOW myself to fall asleep,
tied to high anxiety and a wired nervous system.
I was usually sleeping at 2-3 AM, totally exhausted, but too wired to get deep rest. 

I’m also a global citizen.
Travelling the world to 50+ places by yourself as a woman doesn’t help either. 

And yes, I’ve tried almost all the biohacks you can imagine:
red light, blue light blockers, magnesium, melatonin, 
5HTP, ketotifen, cold room, white noise, dark room, 
weighted blanket, warm showers, looking at sunlight in the morning, 
eating dinner earlier, eating more healthy carbs at night…

The list goes on, but you get it, right? 

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞?
Regulating my nervous system and finding safety and peace within.

And my relationship to my perceived stressors around me. 

Since then, my HRV has tripled, and my RHR decreased from 61 to 47 bpm! 

Now, I no longer rely on any of the biohacks.


And I’m back at a consistent 8h schedule with a thriving global business!

Your health will also magically improve when you start finding that peace and stillness within yourself.

How I tripled my HRV and improved RHR 

If you’re a freelancer or building your business, this is one mistake I see all the time.

And it quietly hurts client retention.

You leave too much up to the client.

You wait for them to follow up.
You wait for them to ask what’s next.
You wait for them to send the doc, sign the thing, give the feedback, move the project forward.

But when someone hires you, that’s not what they’re paying for.

They’re paying for structure.
They’re paying for clarity.
They’re paying to feel guided.

Think about your own life.

When you outsource something to an expert, you don’t want to be the one creating the process.
You want to know exactly:
• what happens next
• what’s expected from you
• when things are due
• how the process will move forward

That’s what makes people feel taken care of.

And that’s also what makes them stay.

A lot of freelancers focus so much on the service itself, but forget that communication is part of the service.

The way you speak.
The way you follow up.
The way you set timelines.
The way you forward pace the process.

That’s what tells a client:
this person is leading
this person has done this before
this person has me

And when clients feel that, frustration drops.
Trust goes up.
Retention gets stronger.

So if you want clients to stay longer, look at your communication.
