No coincidence? Google Assistant’s ‘always listening’ for ‘Hey Google’ has a history of false activations recording ambient speech—leading to the $68M settlement this month over privacy violations and unintended data use for ads/recommendations.

Confession: Google remains my daily essential despite these red flags.
