I've spent a lot of my life working incredibly hard (past the point of burnout) and still not feeling satisfied by my achievements, feeling like achieving one goal only meant that the goal post had to be moved further away from the next one.

While I'm far from having figured this out, I co-host a podcast (Happily Ambitious) and a companion newsletter (The Ambitious Breakthrough) to learn from some of the best in this area and share my journey as I go.

You always go back to the places (and the people) who made you better. That’s why I joined Daniel Cmejla and The Community Marketing Company 
To end 2025 on a high note, I made myself a promise:

Work only on projects that make me happy and align with the work I love. 

So when Dan asked me to join him on a mission to bring world-class community marketing (social media, events, personalized swag, and unforgettable customer experiences) to great companies, my answer was immediate.

Dan: “Do you want to think about it?”
 Me: “No.”
 Dan: “Think about it for 48 hours.”
 Me: “The answer will be the same.”

48 hours later…The answer was still yes.

What I didn’t expect was that education would be part of the deal.

Dan told me he wanted to teach a small group his high-leverage and prioritization trainings, and that’s when I got really excited.

Because when I first joined Dan’s team at Chili Piper, I realized I had never been taught how to truly prioritize: how to focus on high-impact work, remove bottlenecks, build systems, and scale myself beyond my role. Those frameworks changed my career.

They helped me go from an IC to someone who could lead, collaborate across the entire company, and turn content creation into a cross-functional engine. I became faster, more effective, and (truly) 10x more productive, and the quality of our social and marketing output skyrocketed to millions of organic impressions and views. 

And it wasn’t just me. I had the privilege of working with incredible teammates who used these trainings to grow and now lead marketing departments at top companies.

Social Media & Brand Marketing | Community Strategy | Let’s turn social content into impact

I stopped posting on LinkedIn for 3 months.

Here’s what happened:

Absolutely nothing.
But I learned a lot.

Truth is, I was tired, and needed a break. 

Tired of the same formats, and the same advice. Even coming from me. 

So, I took a step back (my detox plan included only 30 min a day- Don’t judge me, I’m a Social Media Manager) and gave myself space to breathe by not posting a single post from my personal account.

While doing so, I might’ve traveled to 3 different countries, had a lot of coffee dates, workout, enjoy the beach, the summer, and all the good things in life. 

But after all that I came back with better ideas, more clarity, and the motivation to post with purpose again.   I also had the time to explore other areas of marketing I’m curious about, and working on new things. 

Here’s my lesson: 

Building a personal brand should feel like building something you’re proud of.

If there’s no joy on it. There’s really no point.

✅ Be transparent about what’s fair game to share
✅ Encourage honest takes from different parts of the business
✅ don’t be afraid of employees with opinions 

Don’t just script them, equip them.
Because real voices > brand-speak. Every time.
