My career has been a combination of opportunity, transition, challenges and breakthroughs. I started off in customer service as a Customer Service Representative with a passion for helping people with any problems they may have with their product/services within the company.

I thought being a CSR was something I wanted to do long term, but as I gained more knowledge and experience. I decided to look towards more roles that fit my values and interests. So after months of researching, reading and taking a few courses. I came across Cybersecurity and compared it to my interests, personality and values, etc to see if it would be a great fit for me and decided to look more into the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) side of Cybersecurity.  

I knew about Cybersecurity a couple of years earlier but thought that maybe I wasn’t smart or worthy enough to get a role in that field. But by prayer and the renewing of my mind, I made a transformative leap and shifted my mindset, finally gained the confidence to just go for it!!!. And now here I am hopeful to connect with other’s to share my story and eventually get my first role as a Security Risk Analyst.
