Two goals followed me through 2025:
🍝 eat better.
🤝🏾 secure more brand partnerships.

They weren’t super dramatic (well, aiming for $20k from brand partnerships might have been a ✨tad✨ dramatic).

But they slipped when things got busy. Not because they didn’t matter, but because everything else felt more urgent.

Clearly, something needs to change to keep long-term intentions from being eaten by short-term urgency.

So in 2026, I’m coming at them with different energy and making them top priorities.

And what makes that possible is the structure I’ve already been building inside Notion — slowly, almost without noticing.

📝 a partner management system that holds the pieces of my admin and creative work so I can hit the ground running

Now I’ve been a Notion user for years, and I know for a fact that tools are only as good as the user. New templates can only take me so far, but I need to actually use them.

There's a running gag we have at Buffer during All Hands, where we call each one the "best All Hands ever" but yesterday's ✨truly✨ took the crown.

We went over some incredible metrics 
🚀 +16% signups
🚀 +20% ARR
🚀 +22% paying customers

...landed on some percentages that don't even look real
🚀 +1142% net income YoY

...and even got into profit and equity sharing as part of our ethos of sharing the rewards of success 💸

And we had these results without increasing prices or raising capital.

I think I can say I've seen Buffer through many highs and lows, and while I've always been proud to work with this team, I've never been prouder than I was in 2025.

So, here's to an even better 2026 and more record-breaking All Hands 🥂

I’ve been thinking a lot about storytelling lately (iykyk), trying to make sure I don't come across as icky while doing it better and better.

So going into 2026, I’m doing a lot of studying.

Not just storytelling as content, but storytelling as a craft that comes with a big responsibility that requires practice and discipline.

A few things I’m orienting around:

→ I’m studying meaning, not moments. Viral moments are loud but fade fast. Meaning is cumulative and more solid. I’m paying attention to storytellers who return to the same questions over years, not weeks and whose work feels connected even when the topics shift.

→ I’m learning the difference between stories and lore. A story is a single artifact. Lore is the context that forms around many artifacts over time. I’m trying to build work that rewards attention — where older pieces deepen newer ones instead of competing with them.

→ I’m designing for audience entry, not performance. I’m actively unlearning the instinct to over-frame everything. Not every story needs a thesis. Some stories work better when they invite interpretation instead of dictating meaning.

→ I’m paying attention to the pacing of my ideas. Not everything needs to be said immediately or fully. Some ideas need space. Some need repetition. Some need to sit quietly and resurface later. I’m treating pacing as part of the message, not an afterthought.

→ I’m thinking beyond “personal brand” toward a personal ✨ universe ✨ . The stories I admire most don’t center the storyteller as the hero. They connect personal perspective to culture, memory, and shared experience — making the audience feel implicated, not addressed.

Storytelling, when done well, is meaning-making in public, with other people (aka my audience) in mind.

Fingers crossed I get to expert level storyteller status 🤞🏾

I shared our version of "predictions" for the year on the Buffer blog today (really, I looked at the common forces that keep showing up in the creator economy and used predictions to figure out how they might compound. It's all very interesting stuff).

Junk journaling (and associated tendencies of overconsumption) will be my 2026 hobby (*cough* vice *cough*) and I'm already ahead of the curve.

I started after my trip to Portugal with "supplies" I pooled from various stationery I bought but never used and I'm only being tempted to add more to it.

It's a meditative practice that's pretty challenging for me, as a historically online-only creative, exactly what I need going into the new year

If you follow trend predictions religiously like I do, this is my manifestation of the "analog hobby" trend – along with photography and maybe some actual journaling when I remember to do it.

As someone with ADHD who works remotely, I need body doubling + calming music + real human presence (no weird AI scenes) to actually focus.

So I filmed my own Pomodoro sessions in my home office with ~meticulously~ handpicked music for each one.

Who'd have thought my tendency to ramble would become a superpower? ✨

Every morning, I 'ramble' my tasks to the Todoist app, stream-of-consciousness style — and it basically plans my day for me. 

As a verbal processor, I cannot even begin to explain how powerful this is. 

I literally did it this morning between sets at the gym (whispering into my phone like I'm casting witch spells in public is my new favorite thing, btw.)

I've already ticked off 3 of those tasks that were rattling around my brain.
