Two goals followed me through 2025:
🍝 eat better.
🤝🏾 secure more brand partnerships.

They weren’t super dramatic (well, aiming for $20k from brand partnerships might have been a ✨tad✨ dramatic).

But they slipped when things got busy. Not because they didn’t matter, but because everything else felt more urgent.

Clearly, something needs to change to keep long-term intentions from being eaten by short-term urgency.

So in 2026, I’m coming at them with different energy and making them top priorities.

And what makes that possible is the structure I’ve already been building inside Notion — slowly, almost without noticing.

📝 a partner management system that holds the pieces of my admin and creative work so I can hit the ground running

Now I’ve been a Notion user for years, and I know for a fact that tools are only as good as the user. New templates can only take me so far, but I need to actually use them.

There's a running gag we have at Buffer during All Hands, where we call each one the "best All Hands ever" but yesterday's ✨truly✨ took the crown.

We went over some incredible metrics 
🚀 +16% signups
🚀 +20% ARR
🚀 +22% paying customers

...landed on some percentages that don't even look real
🚀 +1142% net income YoY

...and even got into profit and equity sharing as part of our ethos of sharing the rewards of success 💸

And we had these results without increasing prices or raising capital.

I think I can say I've seen Buffer through many highs and lows, and while I've always been proud to work with this team, I've never been prouder than I was in 2025.

So, here's to an even better 2026 and more record-breaking All Hands 🥂

I shared our version of "predictions" for the year on the Buffer blog today (really, I looked at the common forces that keep showing up in the creator economy and used predictions to figure out how they might compound. It's all very interesting stuff).

I would like to drop my "serious" persona for a moment to talk about my close, personal friend Gege Akutami and close, personal enemy MAPPA and the return of Jujutsu Kaisen, which is back for its 3rd season tomorrow with a ONE-hour premiere.

P.S. Do you watch anime? And what are you most looking forward to in the winter line-up?

Junk journaling (and associated tendencies of overconsumption) will be my 2026 hobby (*cough* vice *cough*) and I'm already ahead of the curve.

I started after my trip to Portugal with "supplies" I pooled from various stationery I bought but never used and I'm only being tempted to add more to it.

It's a meditative practice that's pretty challenging for me, as a historically online-only creative, exactly what I need going into the new year

If you follow trend predictions religiously like I do, this is my manifestation of the "analog hobby" trend – along with photography and maybe some actual journaling when I remember to do it.
