Tech, B2B sales, and sales management are the core my initial career, complemented later by global leadership, entrepreneurship and angel investing. 

With strong credentials from global corporations, I went spinning around the globe to build the B2B sales team for Bitdefender. Growing from 6 to 200+ people, from 5 to 15+ countries across North-America, Europe and Middle-East, and scaling revenues 10x over just 4 years, we were also the first Romanian tech company recognized as Visionary by Gartner in 2016. 

Further-on I set-up my sales consulting business and helped 30+ companies improve their sales, and also invested in 25+ tech start-ups. Twenty of all these companies have now above 1M annual revenue, and for six of them I had key contributions in the toughest area: from zero to the first million. 

Today my focus is SalesOMMO, on a mission to equip tech founders sell smarter, build trust by hyper-personalizing their engagements, experiment and move from founder-led sales to processes that scale.

I am also mentoring fellow founders and entrepreneurs from the local tech community via various accelerator programs, as well as Member of the Board, TechAngels Romania, often enjoying good conversations about disruptive businesses and high-growth GTM strategies.

Here are a few takeaways from the The Entrepreneurship Academy panel discussion during IUF - The International University Fair on navigating into education and career changes in a professional world that is undergoing significant transformation, but where the fundamentals of success remain surprisingly human if you want a dream job:
1. Skills + Passion = Success. You’ll love your job more when you’re actually prepared for it. Lean into your natural talents. Whether you're coding or selling, it’s all about solving people’s problems.
2. Pick a boss, not just a brand. For your first job, your manager is your most important mentor. Find someone who will help you grow, not just someone who tracks your hours. A great manager doesn't just set your KPIs, but will provide the leadership that makes you want to show up and perform, and will also have to invest in you. 
3. AI is a tool, not a replacement for humans. It is great for structure and data, but it can’t replace empathy, imagination, or real human relationships. Don't let "AI-slop" replace your own voice.

Train your critical thinking and nurture your empathy. In a world dominated by AI and automations, the ability to analyze, make ethical decisions, and truly connect with other people is your ultimate competitive advantage. AI can’t decide for you what is good or right, and can’t replace the human connections and relationships that you develop.

Vânzările se bazează din ce în ce mai mult pe AI. Ce rămâne uman și ce pot prelua algoritmii?

Dacă te bazezi doar pe „relații bune” și pe un CRM completat manual, am o veste proastă: ești deja în urma.

După 20 de ani în care am performat în vânzări, după ce am format și condus echipe de vânzări la giganți ca IBM, Dell, HP și Bitdefender, după ce am investit în peste 25 de startup-uri tech și după ce am construit SalesOMMO, pot spune cu certitudine că AI-ul nu este o opțiune, ci este un filtru. Un filtru care va separa curând companiile cu prezență limitată local de cele care vor crește accelerat.

Predicția mea este că vânzătorii nu vor fi înlocuiți, dar vânzătorii care nu folosesc AI vor fi înlocuiți de firmele care doresc să crească în mod accelerat cu vânzători care folosesc AI. 

Similar, antreprenorii competitivi, care doresc să își dezvolte mai rapid business-ul, pot apela cu încredere la AI pentru a-și amplifica performanța în vânzări.

Dacă AI-ul ar face începând de mâine 90% din munca ta de astăzi, tu ce valoare mai aduci pentru restul de 10%?
