1. unlearn the habit of rushing to respond:  sometimes, the most professional thing you can do is pause.

2. collect quiet wins: not everything needs to be shared or announced. some growth stories are meant to stay between you and your notes app. 😉 

3. build your “energy map”: notice what (& who) drains you and what restores you during the workday. it’s data worth analyzing. 

4. speak about your work more often: Make sure to raise awareness of what you bring.

5. Make work friendships less transactional: share playlists, send memes, or go for an ice cream together on a random tuesday afternoon 🍦

Hot truth: being a perfectionist at work often slows you down more than it helps you.

Spending hours rethinking, refining, and reopening decisions doesn’t always mean higher quality. Most of the time, it just drains your energy and delays progress. Work rarely rewards the “most perfect” version. It rewards the version that moves things forward.

Learning to stop at good enough is a skill. One that protects your time, your focus, and honestly, your sanity.

5. your boundaries: even excellence needs rest. 🛏️

I remember being told “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” Then I realized that sometimes, doing what you love for money is the fastest way to stop loving it.

In reality, many of us stepped into careers that made practical sense - stability, growth, reputation and only later started to ask: Is this really what fulfills me?
