Taking a lower role is not failure.

I get it, some of you might land the exact same role abroad.
You’re the minority, and that’s amazing.

For everyone else:

Don’t be ashamed.
Don’t compare.

Remember:
You didn’t downgrade your worth, you upgraded your resilience.
You took the first step that most people are too scared to take.
And trust me, your skills didn’t vanish just because your title changed.

Build human relationships with anyone. Any level. Any team. Any background.

What I realised after joining Weir Minerals :

It’s not about hierarchy.
It’s not about the “right” department.
It’s not even about years of experience.

You might think:

“But shouldn’t I network only with seniors?”
“Isn’t relationship-building about climbing the ladder?”

Nope.

I’ve single-handedly delivered multiple million-dollar IT projects on time without compromising quality.
But the moment I switched from SDLC to the mining process, even simple tasks started making me feel like a complete beginner.

By separating our skills from our environment.

Here are 4 steps to help you get started:

1. Learn one new word, tool, or concept from your new industry every day.
(eg: I always get confused between comminution and communication, two completely different things.)

2. Map something from your past experience to your new industry so you don’t feel lost.
(eg: I compare mining processes to SDLC so my brain has something familiar to hold on to.)

3. Keep a career journal and write one daily sentence about what you learned or felt.
(eg: Today I realised I tried to learn the whole pump system without knowing the basics.)

4. Ask one clarifying question a day instead of overthinking things alone.
(eg: ‘Can you show me an example?’ instead of stressing for hours.)

Take the next 30 days to practice this identity shift, and you’ll rebuild the confidence you thought you lost,  this time, with even deeper self-awareness.

The moment a woman turns 30, society suddenly behaves like she’s “past her prime.”

Like she won’t find a good guy.
Like she should compromise now because time is up

Most people my age are married.
I chose my career.
And honestly… I still want to.
If I marry, I’m not sacrificing my growth. My professional life is just as important as my personal one.

But people will make you feel like you don’t deserve choices anymore because you’re “old.”

Funny thing?

Men in this same age bracket are considered *more* desirable because they are “well-settled.”

Kaise pata chal gaya?
Who decided he’s well settled and she is not?

If men can make choices at 30, 35, 40… so can women.

If I had married early, I would probably be living the exact same life my mother lived.
And that’s not the life I want.

Recently Zoho ’s founder said people should marry in their early 20s. But this isn’t the same world anymore.
We’re living in a time where:

– cheating is normalised
– open relationships exist
– people are emotionally unstable
– crime within marriages is rising
– commitment is treated casually
– and half the people don’t even know what they want

So every time I think, “maybe I should’ve been married by now,”
I honestly thank God I’m not because 
of the current scenarios and also 

because I’ve seen women around me college friends, colleagues who had big dreams…

And 80% of them are now housewives, stuck between chores, kids, in-laws, and a life that isn’t theirs anymore.

Not because they didn’t want more.
But because marrying early didn’t give them the maturity to understand what they truly want.

For women, early marriage often becomes a trap… a black hole that takes away their sense of self.
And once you fall in, it takes years to climb out.

That’s why if you’re 30, 32, 35…
You don’t need to compromise.
Not in love.
Not in marriage.
Not in life.

You’re not late.
You’re just aware.

And that makes all the difference.

As clear from the name is it's a venture of Ranveer Allahbadia.

A few days ago, I came across a reel where a woman called their Instagram workshop super mediocre.

To be fair, the team handled it well—they invited people who didn’t like the workshop to connect personally. Good move.

But this post is not about Skill House.

There’s a bigger pattern here:
When creators, agencies, and companies become big, they somehow stop providing real value.

Instagram’s algorithm makes it worse.
It pushes mediocre, surface-level content while genuinely thoughtful creators barely get visibility.

Everywhere you look—AI experts flexing buzzwords, daily trauma storytellers, recycled motivational clips—nothing feels truly meaningful anymore.

But amidst all this noise, I found one creator who genuinely stands out:

@mostly.curious by Saurabh.

He talks about AI, startups, and spirituality—with depth, storytelling, and clarity that actually holds attention.

A random auto driver in Varanasi taught me the real meaning of personal branding.

On 27th November, I was on my way to Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir with my mom.

I’m a Hanuman ji bhakt, so anytime something good happens—big or small—I go to thank him.

That day, I had two things to be grateful for:
✨ I’d won a competition recently 
✨ And I’d just bought my new iPhone 17 (middle-class happiness is unmatched)

It was already 8 PM when we took an auto.

Mom needed to buy medicine, so she asked him to stop for a moment—he didn’t hesitate even once.

While riding, he had a warm, simple conversation with my mother.
“Mandir jaa rahi hain?”
“Haan, darshan ke liye.”

We reached the temple.
We paid him.

And then something I’ll never forget happened.

He took out ₹50 and said softly:
“Ye mandir me daan kar dijiyega. Ache se darshan kariyega.”

My mom immediately asked for his name so she could donate it in his name.

But he just smiled… and drove away.

For a few seconds, both of us just stood there—quiet.
Because goodness like this hits you differently.

By the time we reached home, my mom had already narrated this story to multiple people.

And that auto driver has no idea that he built a reputation money can’t buy.

That is personal branding.
Not followers.
Not fancy PR.
Not viral content.

Just small, honest deeds that make people remember you with respect.

And that’s exactly why even as an agency owner you must build your own brand.

You give name and fame to your clients but remember you even need that.

If not everywhere, at least on LinkedIn or X.
These platforms have way more power than people imagine.

A few days back, Favikon listed me among the Top 100 Creators in Content Marketing & Copywriting, ranking 94 in India.

And today, I got my Creator Rewind 2025, filled with some really kind words from them again.

Every late night, every rejection, every hustle
It’s all worth it.

Founders don’t want branding anymore. They want shock value

A few days back, Aman Goel, founder & CEO of GreyLabs AI  posted that he pays ₹1 lakh per month to his househelp.

The internet lost its mind.
News picked it up.
LinkedIn/ x  turned into an ethics debate.

And honestly, Aman—I get it.
Maybe he needed that virality.
Maybe it aligned with his values.
Maybe it was PR strategy.
Useful or not, let’s not get into that.

But what happened next is where things got interesting.

48 hours later, Ankur Warikoo posted about how his driver earns around ₹53,350/month, gets insurance, bonuses, scooter and ATM access.

Again news. Again virality.

Now here’s where it felt off to me.

Aman is still building brand recall.
But Ankur?

Already influential. Already trusted. Already everywhere.

He didn’t need that one-day trend moment.
So why participate at all?

Because right now, attention has become the biggest KPI.
Everything is content—even generosity.

But here's the real problem:

Did GreyLabs gain customers because of that viral post?
Will people remember their actual product?
Will any of this translate to revenue?

Or was it just a dopamine spike for the internet?

And now, this culture has trickled down to founders I work with.

They message me saying:

“Kuch aisa crazy humare profile pe bhi daalo. Viral karwao. News uthale.”

Sure, I can write:
“I pay 2 lakh per month to my babysitter.”
It will trend. People will argue.
Articles will be written.

But then what?

Will your brand positioning shift?
Will trust build?
Will buyers convert?
Will your category strengthen?

Or will it just feed your ego for 24 hours?

This is the phase we’re in:

Going viral > Being valuable
Shock content > Strategic content
Flex culture > Founder narrative

And as someone who builds brands for founders, it’s concerning.

Virality gives attention.
Strategy builds legacy.
Only one compounds.

Choose wisely.
