In 2018, I made a big decision. After 16 + years in financial planning, I decided it was time for a change - not because I had the next big thing lined up, but because I felt a deeper calling. 

I wanted to create something that was truly mine, something that could make a real difference. 

So, I sold my financial planning business and took a leap into the unknown.

My journey began with a podcast. The goal? To inspire and educate, to touch lives in a meaningful way. It was a new chapter, one that brought me to LinkedIn to share my thoughts and connect with others. Little did I know, a simple video post in April 2018 would turn everything upside down. 

Suddenly, companies big and small were reaching out, drawn to the unique blend of my corporate background and this fresh, authentic approach I was taking on LinkedIn.

It was a lightbulb moment. The corporate world was hungry for genuine connection, for personal branding that resonated on a human level. 

So, I founded a new venture focused on just that. Helping leaders and entrepreneurs across the globe build powerful personal brands on LinkedIn became my new mission.

Fast forward to today, I've had the privilege of hosting the most successful entrepreneurs on my podcast, speaking at events worldwide, and most importantly, guiding others to find their purpose and voice online.

WHAT I DO: I help entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs & C-Suite executives converge their emotional intelligence with their social presence so that they can become “Thought Leaders” in their niche and ultimately create a lasting impact on people’s lives.

WHY I DO THIS:  I am determined to help people find that inner “greatness”. We all have this “greatness” inside of us. Not only do I help my clients find their greatness, I help them reconnect with their “why” so that they can speak through their PURPOSE. 

YOUR existence matters and YOUR message matters. 

WHAT MAKES ME UNIQUE:  The reason why I have been so successful is because I am focusing on my own “greatness” as well as leveraging my “natural gifts” which include communication, education, inspiration and impact. 

THE RESULTS:  As a result, I have grown my network from 500 to 25,000 + in < 3 months, with 2 Million + views on my content, with organic reach, an engaged community (who are advocates of my mission) but most importantly have resulted in quality in-bound leads into my business that has helped my business grown exponentially.

The internet is gaslighting people into thinking their career isn't valuable.

Because we've started using visibility as proof of value.

Big following? Must be successful.
Viral post? Must be credible.

And behind the screens, good people with solid careers start doubting work that already feeds families, builds companies, and solves real problems.

I had a conversation with someone recently.

He kept saying he wanted to "be the person" people ask for advice.
To solve problems.
To be known for something.

Meanwhile… he already is all of those things.

He builds systems.
That's how his brain works.
That's why he's highly paid.
That's why people rely on him.

But social media had him thinking he needed to change paths.
That his work isn't good enough.
That it isn’t visible enough.
That he should do what everyone else is doing.

And I said to him:

"Why are you trying to abandon the thing you're already great at… just because it's not currently glorified in the way you want it to?"

Of course, change careers if you genuinely want to.
But don't do it because social media keeps elevating the same visible paths:
Coaching. Podcasting. Quote graphics. Lifestyle content.

Some of the most valuable work in the world is quiet.
And a lot of "visible success" isn't even real.

Sometimes we don't need a new identity.
We need a clearer relationship with our own value.

Combining van-life with dog-sitter life. 

Now we’re talking!! 

You gotta love that text from a friend: 

“Angie our dog sitter has fallen through and we’re off to Italy in 2 days. Any chance you fancy some time in Devon with the dog?” 

I was free - so I jumped at the chance. 

I’ve missed dog energy around me ever since I lost my beautiful Louie. 

Maybe this is a new thing - Vanlifer and part-time dog sitter? 

It amazing the little life style adaptions I’ve unconsciously made though. 

Says a lot when I consider a kitchen as “luxury” because I can take more than 2 steps in it. 😂

Or a shower I don’t need to check the water level first or walk across a field to wash my hair. 💥

Don’t get me wrong I bought the van (Libby) to see different parts of the country and to stay close to friends for a few months who I’d normally only see for a weekend. And I let ve my van. 

I’m excited to see where I’ll take Libby in 2026 - but I’m seriously tempted to make this dog sitting marlarkie a part time life style. 

I know there are websites that I can sign up for that offer this and to be fair people have recommended it to me before. 

I didn’t think I’d enjoy living in someone else’s house - but it’s clean and tidy and there is a dog around allllllll the time it’s actually a lot of fun. 

So if you get stuck, or you’ve a holibobs approaching and you need a live in dog sitter….. ping me a message - I could easily be persuaded.  

You just gotta have a big enough drive to park a 8 metre home on wheels. 😂

I’ve not been officially working for about 6 months so right now I’m more flexible than I’ve ever been. 

Meanwhile….I’d forgotten how hard it is to get a successful selfie with a dog. 😂😂 

Ps) Happy New Year n all that jazz. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me on here in 2026 than last year. 🙏
