At TIMA Designs I conceptualised the design and development of the Tima Designs fashion label focused on feminine, sophisticated, chic and elegant fashion pieces for the corporate and glamorous woman.

Managing all aspects of the business from design, production and quality assurance to sales, marketing and distribution provided the opportunity to understand the intricacies and nuances of small business development in a highly competitive industry.

The business success was based on a commitment to quality and integrity of design and an innate understanding of the fashion needs of the corporate woman.  This is reflected in the label being stocked in a number of high-end fashion boutiques across Melbourne.

Additionally, in my work I delivered presentations to audiences that included:

•	International Women’s Day – “A World of Fashion”  -a presentation on running 2 businesses in   fashion and financial planning and how to achieve success.

•	Revenue Generation: Steadily achieved growth in clients and portfolio revenue ensuring consistent ranking in the ANZ Top 20 Business Financial Planner leader board.

•	Business Succession Planning: Identified and developed the opportunity to provide Business Succession planning as an additional service/product for the business.

•	Professional Development: Nominated by senior management to complete the SMSF course.

•	Customer Service Standards: I assisted with the development and creation of the Statement of Advice layout for the business client, working across the compliance team to ensure that it was a user friendly and functional planning tool.

•	Management: I was regularly appointed to the acting manager role, responsible for leading and building on the team performance.  In line with this, I participated in a number of management meetings at a state and national level focused on developing the service delivery and product range of the financial planning division.

Initially appointed into the Business Direct Division I was subsequently promoted to the Commercial Banking providing strategic financial planning advice to small to medium enterprises.

•	Customer Service: I was consistently recognised for my ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse network of clients from sole traders to larger enterprises with increasing complexity of financial planning requirements.

•	Stakeholder Management: Established a strong network of referral/business partners including Relationship Managers, Investment Bankers, Merchant Bankers etc. with recognition for ensuring a collaborative focus on achieving the most optimal outcome for clients.

•	“Ruby Network” Champion: I was highly involved in the “Ruby Network” for Women in Business, delivering presentations and co-ordinating events to educate women on financial planning, particularly in the areas of superannuation, self-managed super funds, insurance and business growth/protection.

As Business Development Manager I was recruited to build the broker network from a zero base.

Business Development: Through persistence, determination and excellence in customer service established a dynamic network of brokers that delivered outstanding revenue growth for the business. 

Sales: Consistently achieved high sales results and supported the organisation in the development and marketing of financial products responsive to the market needs.

In 2018, I made a big decision. After 16 + years in financial planning, I decided it was time for a change - not because I had the next big thing lined up, but because I felt a deeper calling. 

I wanted to create something that was truly mine, something that could make a real difference. 

So, I sold my financial planning business and took a leap into the unknown.

My journey began with a podcast. The goal? To inspire and educate, to touch lives in a meaningful way. It was a new chapter, one that brought me to LinkedIn to share my thoughts and connect with others. Little did I know, a simple video post in April 2018 would turn everything upside down. 

Suddenly, companies big and small were reaching out, drawn to the unique blend of my corporate background and this fresh, authentic approach I was taking on LinkedIn.

It was a lightbulb moment. The corporate world was hungry for genuine connection, for personal branding that resonated on a human level. 

So, I founded a new venture focused on just that. Helping leaders and entrepreneurs across the globe build powerful personal brands on LinkedIn became my new mission.

Fast forward to today, I've had the privilege of hosting the most successful entrepreneurs on my podcast, speaking at events worldwide, and most importantly, guiding others to find their purpose and voice online.

THE RESULTS:  As a result, I have grown my network from 500 to 25,000 + in < 3 months, with 2 Million + views on my content, with organic reach, an engaged community (who are advocates of my mission) but most importantly have resulted in quality in-bound leads into my business that has helped my business grown exponentially.

I stood in the Chanel boutique.
Then walked out empty handed.

A few years ago, I set a goal to buy a luxury bag.
It was a bag I “thought” I wanted.

I surprised myself.
I was instantly put off.

You would think it was the price, but it wasn’t.

It was the long queue outside the boutique.
The identical bag on every other shoulder.
The sales associate’s rehearsed pitch about “timeless investment.”
It was so familiar that it no longer looked or felt valuable to me.

The moment I saw how many wanted it,
I instantly didn’t.

And that’s exactly how I operate on LinkedIn.

If everyone has the formula → I don’t want it.
If everyone posts a certain way → I don’t want it.
If everyone talks about the same things → I don’t want it.

I watch others post what works:
“I made $X in Y months”
“The 5-step framework that...”
“Use this hook to instantly go viral”

And yes, it works.
Of course it works.
That’s why everyone does it.

I COULD talk about the money I’ve made.
But I’d rather talk about my values and vision.

I COULD share the hooks that go viral.
But I’d rather post what emotionally draws people in.

I COULD share the proven playbook.
But I’d rather write from a place that actually matters.

To me, when everyone carries the same bag,
it stops being special.
When everyone uses the same strategy,
it stops being strategic.

Maybe this is a flaw in me in others’ eyes.
This stubborn refusal to post what clearly works.

But to me?
This is my differentiator.

It’s about being yourself even when being someone else would be easier.
Even when the formula is right there… proven, profitable.

Some things lose their value when too many people want them,
but your voice is not one of them.

I can’t afford to be like everyone else.

And that’s the same reason I write the way I write.
Show up the way I show up.
Build the way I build.

My clients feel the same way.
They’re leaders who already move with sophistication in the real world, 
and they want their online presence to feel just as refined, true to who they really are.

Developed and launched sales training programs for NA Energy Sales consisting of 550+ employees in 24 states. Proactively supported and collaborated with Director of Energy Retail and Regional Energy Managers to determine the problem areas we are working to solve and planned training/coaching programs to improve results.

•	Supported an 11% growth of Tesla’s energy business in Q3 2018 through the launch of Masterclass trainings, short and effective video content, and engaging online training courses

•	Successfully launched nationwide training program for all of sales consisting of over 1,000 employees to begin selling our full ecosystem of products, including vehicles, solar, and energy storage

•	Collaborated to launch new Tesla training platform granting access to on-demand resources, including short tutorial videos, best practices from peers, and onboarding curriculum for sales teams

NA L&D Programs Manager, Energy

Responsible for overseeing sales training coaches in 13 states on the East Coast. Worked closely with senior sales leaders to plan trainings and create coaching plans in their markets to improve profitability. 

•	Developed and launched virtual instructor led Energy Manager Training with 65 leaders nationwide resulting in a 4.91 out of 5 Net Promotor Score 

•	Supported growth of Powerwall 2 through training and in market coaching contributing to a 50x increase in orders and a 27x increase in installations

•	Developed training programs and in market coaching plans to increase Tesla Financing / Cash Purchases for energy products, resulting in a 141% increase in Tesla Financing / Cash Purchase Agreements

Two years ago, I was on Zoom calls all day.
