Claude Code ships with 6 extensibility layers most people never touch.

They install it. 

They chat with it.

Meanwhile, I'm running 146+ custom agents, 18+ MCP servers, automated hooks, and full agent teams.

Here's what most people miss:

MCP Servers. Connect Claude to anything. I have it plugged into Notion, Slack, Sanity, and my project management tools. 

It reads and writes directly. No copy-paste.

Hooks. Shell commands that fire automatically before or after tool calls. Mine lint code before every commit and validate data before every file write.

Claude Code just got me an $740 refund.

ActiveCampaign has this trap. You pay monthly, but you're locked into a yearly commitment. 

We switched to beehiiv after a few months. 

Better features, better pricing for creators. 

ActiveCampaign wasn't the right fit.

So I tried to get out.

Every channel I tried: AI bots. I created a support ticket. Got an automated response listing everything I "can't" do. 

No refund for the remaining 10 months. 

Just pay for a tool I'll never touch.

I was wasting my time. 

So I opened Claude Code.

"What do we do?"

Claude Code went to work. It opened their live chat, got past the bot to a human, submitted a formal ticket, found a consumer rights complaint site, filed a complaint there, then went to Trustpilot and left a review. 

All of it. Autonomous.

Less than 24 hours later, I got an email.

"We never do this. These are our rules. But we'll make an exception for you."

$740 back.

They had no idea Claude Code was behind it all.

This is what working with AI looks like. Not just chatbots. Not just content. Real problem solving. Real results.

What's the most unexpected thing you've done with AI?

I owe developers an apology. 

Back when I was head of marketing at a tech company, I took websites AWAY from developers and brought them to a CMS.

And now? I'm going back to pure code. Because AI makes it possible for someone like me to build and maintain a real codebase. 

So, I'm sorry to the developers I pushed aside ten years ago. 

You were right, code is better. 

(I just needed AI to catch up, so I could work with it myself 😉 )
