I was responsible for the strategy and transformation of the retail business  for Erste Group, a banking group in Central and Eastern Europe providing financial services to 16 million customers in seven markets. 

The retail strategy for Erste Group  is based on the purpose for which Erste was founded in 1819: improving the lives of the people in its region by disseminating and securing prosperity. To this end, Erste Group’s retail strategy focuses on providing personalized and technology-enhanced prosperity advice, combining the group-wide digital platform George with innovative branch, remote advice and service concepts to ensure customer journeys that provide the best customer experience.

I manage the design and alignment of the retail strategy and the transformation of the retail business model. This includes managing Erste Group’s Retail Board and group-wide collaboration, leading the strategy’s implementation program, and steering product management and strategic projects across the group

I was responsible for the management of the Retail business in Erste Bank Austria, providing banking services to 1 million private individuals and micro customers. 

This included 
• the P&L responsibility for retail, affluent and micro clients
• the responsibility for retail business development including retail strategy, sales management, network and footprint management, planning & steering, sales coaching and training
• Management responsibility for around 1400 employees in around 100 branches
• Management of the separate sales unit for residential development financing and for mobile sales
• supervisory board of Brokerjet Bank AG
