What if AI doesn’t think the way we assume it does?
I was doomscrolling papers around 11 PM last night, 
and I landed on some new ByteDance research.

One line messed with my head, and I basically didn’t sleep after.

The gist, in plain language:
It’s not “keywords in, keywords out.”

It’s closer to “concepts connecting to other concepts,” 
almost like bonds forming.

Like… a structure gets built. 
Not a lookup table getting searched.

And once you see it that way, 
a bunch of annoying AI behaviour suddenly makes sense:

Why a prompt that worked yesterday feels off today
Why one extra sentence of context can change everything
Why it can sometimes solve stuff you never explicitly taught it

We’ve been talking about AI like it’s a tool you operate.

So I’m less interested lately in “better prompts”…
…and more interested in:
