Provided public/environmental health support for the F-16 program at Balad Air Base. Conducted inspections of food facilities, barber/beauty shops, gymnasiums, morale, welfare, and recreational facilities, latrine/shower units, while conducting chemical and bacteriological testing on all distributed and drinking water. Performed risk assessments with Health & Safety personnel to identify, mitigate, and eliminate safety hazards. Monitored and reported heat injuries and performed bacteriological and chemical testing of water produced on the installation that supports a 120,000 personnel military community.

71st Medical Company/421st Medical Company

Led daily operations that allowed the 71st Medical Company and 64th Medical Company to complete environmental health and safety assessments in 16 different countries in support of worldwide missions and exercises. These assessments set the conditions for regionally aligned forces to conduct joint military engagements thereby enhancing interoperability while ensuring the health and safety of more than 42,000 NATO, Partnership for Peace, and US military personnel. Managed the preventive medicine partnership between the 421st Medical Company and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This partnership enabled the 71st Medical Company to serve as the environmental health authority for the Smith, Wetzel, and Clinic Kasernes thereby ensuring the safety and reducing the risk of disease, injury, and illness for nearly 12,000 members of the Baumholder Military Community. Oversaw the establishment of the 71st Medical Company as the Europe military lead agent for Field Sanitation Team Training. As a result the 71st Medical Company was able to train, develop, and certify more than 200 US military personnel during my tenure. These trained individuals are combat multipliers and will serve to protect the force from disease and non-battle injuries during global deployments to austere environments in support of Unified Land Operations. Processed over 40 theater and country clearance requests which enabled the execution of critical Army Health Support missions to eight NATO countries and partner nations. Mapped secure travel routes and secured battlefield movement authorizations that allowed preventive medicine, behavioral health, and veterinary teams to provide care to over 3700 personnel during military exercises. Responsible for leadership development, training, retention and morale and welfare of 39 employees.

Public Health Manager 

5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - US Army

Managed the overall medical readiness of over 500 personnel in 3rd Battalion 5th Special Forces Group. Trained 46 Special Forces medical personnel on the use of the Army's Medical Protection System to sustain company wide medical readiness. Enforced the company's vaccination program that achieved the highest vaccination percentage in United States Special Forces Command. Coordinated medical support for the unit's Personnel Readiness Program to facilitate medical screening for 450 deploying and redeploying personnel. Provided medical intelligence to all medical personnel of Special Operation Task Force North of all environmental and health hazards of Northern Iraq and other areas within the middle east. Assisted in the development and execution of Tactical Casualty Combat Care Training for 85 employees prepping for deployment. Facilitated unconventional warfare exercises by assisting in medical scenarios and mass casualty exercises. Managed over 6.5 million dollars worth of theater medical equipment while serving in Iraq. Inventoried, transported, and distributed 4.6 million dollars worth of new medical equipment to 21 Special Forces Operation Detachments. Redistributed $115,000 worth of battalion medical supplies to other companies within the district. Provided medical logistics support and training to 18 Special Forces Operation Detachments on eight different outposts during Operation New Dawn and also developed a standing operation procedure for the incoming medical section. Conducted environmental health site assessments and water testing throughout Special Operation Task Force North area of responsibility .

Public Health Advisor

172nd Medical Company 

Supervised and conducted over 600 environmental health inspections and managed the environmental engineering collection program that collected over 2,000 water samples, over 230 air samples, and 85 soil samples for the analysis of chemical contaminants. Performed over 40 site assessments ensuring the safety and health of over 50,000 service members. Provided training for a Navy public health team and the incoming Army public health company. Instructed classes on food handling and regulated medical waste to Afghan and Egyptian medical personnel respectively. Certified over 90 personnel in field sanitation. Assisted a forward surgical team during five mass casualty situations by helping to sustain employees lives until they were evacuated to receive higher echelons of care. Performed duties as a human resource specialist, coordinating leaves, monitoring employees financial reports, providing strength and readiness reports, updating personnel records, ensuring performance evaluations and award recommendations were free of error and ready to be processed. Responsible for leadership development, training, retention and morale and welfare of five junior leaders.

Bagram Air Force Base and Kunar Province Environmental Health Manager

38th Medical Company

Provided rapid, relevant Corps-level field and armistice public health support to nine U.S. military installations and two United Nations sites in the Joint Security Area for over 15,000 service members. Ensured the maintenance of equipment worth over $150,000. Oversaw and conducted over 480 food and sanitation inspections. Completed over 50 retrograde assessments and inspections that allowed military units to ship equipment from Korea to the United States. Trained over 250 employees in field sanitation and another 50 in retrograde operations so that units could meet mission requirements. Ensured the company met all training metric requirements in a timely manner, never falling below 85 percent compliance in accordance with United States Army Pacific Command standards.   Responsible for leadership development, training, retention and morale and welfare of six junior leaders.

Provided logistical support and managed administrative actions for 73 personnel for the Division of Preventive Medicine and Global Emerging Disease Systems. Managed over $800,000 dollars worth of equipment and coordinated the redistribution of excess lab equipment to overseas laboratories valued over $74,000. Managed the safety program for the division and ensured all personnel adhered to all safety regulations and procedures. Spearheaded the development of the  first Preventive Medicine Specialist skills and training program between Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Initiated Medical Laboratory Specialist proficiency training at Fort Belvoir. Both training programs ensured employees maintained their technician skills in a hospital while primarily working in research. Started the Junior Enlisted Council, so junior leaders had a voice in their health, welfare, and professional development.

Operations Department Manager

133rd Medical Company

Managed daily supply transactions with a budget of $32, 000 and maintained a unit supply operation valued at $400,000. Deployed to the Republic of Mauritania to provide public health support to the host nation along with over 200 military members in a remote compound. Deployed to Burgas, Bulgaria to conduct environmental health inspections, pest control management and to assess a site that would be used for future military port operations.  Deployed to Kosovo and Macedonia to conduct environmental health inspections, entomological surveys, site assessments and to assist Public Health Region Europe collect air and soil samples. Help certify over 300 military members in field sanitation, raising awareness of public health and reducing non-battle injuries.
