As an assembler-installer, I removed and installed parts as needed, manufactured replacement parts, designed, created and installed simple and complex doublers. I also utilized precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and scales. I was primarily assigned to the aft body but when needed, I was able to fill in at almost any station. I was also assigned to the glass shop and assisted in composite layups, resin mixes as well as general and complex repairs. I was able to work with fiberglass, aramid and graphite materials.
