After a conversation with Sadie Groom (the founder of Rise) in 2021, I was introduced to Carrie Wootten and the wider Rise team and agreed to deliver Linkedin training to mentees that take part in their award-winning 🏆 Rise Mentoring program. The training enables the mentees to improve their Linkedin presence, understand how the platform works better and ultimately take control of their professional brand & voice on the Linkedin platform. 

Fast forward 18 months and I’ve helped train over 150 mentees 🤯 across the UK, Europe and the US and had the pleasure of meeting some of the brightest, most engaging women in our industry who are so passionate about the industry, improving their careers and making an impact 💪🏼.

InnoWave is a global technology and consulting company, headquartered in Lisbon and with satellite offices located in the UK, India, Netherlands, Belgium and the US. InnoWave work with Enterprise, Mid-Markets and SMB clients with a primary focus on the Telecoms, Media and Entertainment sector.

As Northern Europe Sales Director for InnoWave, I dedicated myself to delivering the company’s sales & growth strategy across the BeNeLux region: Key initiatives included:

▶️ Manage the strategic growth of InnoWave’s largest multi-national account – Vodafone Group TV Product Development
▶️ Lead go-to-market for InnoWave's Video / OTT Test automation solution (InnSpect) to clients such as Liberty Global, Vodafone
▶️ Established Indian entity and successfully scaled team to 30+ consultants in Video / OTT test automation & OTT application development 
▶️ Managing strategic partnerships for the region including Microsoft, ThingWorx, Salesforce and Microfocus. 
▶️ IoT business solution lead for Northern Europe
▶️ Manage all business development, customer success, business operations and marketing efforts to deliver growth across the region
▶️ Build & deliver the sales enablement strategy for the Northern Europe team
▶️ Work with senior leaders across the organisation to identify the best go-to-market strategies to successfully achieve our business objectives.

Loved working for InnoWave and becoming a true "InnoWaver", met some truly amazing people who have become friends for life. I left InnoWave to enter into founder-ship land once again and focus 100% in the Video, PayTV and Media space.

Northern Europe Sales Director

In my role as UK MD for InnoWave, I successfully launched and grew their UK subsidiary, on-boarding several new accounts and putting all the operational foundations in place to enable rapid growth. Duties included:

▶️ Full P&L responsibility of the UK subsidiary.
▶️ Managing strategic partnerships for the UK region including Microsoft and ThingWorx.
▶️ Lead on all Video, PayTV, OTT, Media & Entertainment sector projects
▶️ Grew the office from €400k - €5million in 3 years - 140%+ growth year on year
▶️ Established & build a Salesforce CRM practice.
▶️ Manage a team of BDM’s & customer success managers to deliver growth across the region. 
▶️ Built out all back-office functions to enable growth.
▶️ Built and managed the sales enablement strategy for the UK subsidiary
▶️ Took an instrumental role in setting up two additional technical delivery centre’s in Coimbra (Portugal) and Bengaluru (India).
▶️ Played a key-role in re-positioning one of our products (InnSpect Video OTT Test Automaton) to bring inline with market demands.

I loved my first three years at InnoWave, having transitioned from technology recruitment into the professional services space I was able to learn so much, across so many areas of the business from building the brand and positioning, to re-mapping products and working out best market-fit for our solutions. I was able to build out InnoWave’s international operations, culture and best practices which has now become the blueprint for other international subsidiaries in the group. 

In March 2019 I was promoted into a wider role at Innowave growing our position across the Benelux region with continued input into our global sales strategy (see above)

I’ve spent several years helping solve some of the biggest challenges in the Media, TV, Telecoms and Technology space, having originally started my career in technology recruitment, later transitioning into professional services & consulting.

In 2019 I co-founded Ovyo where I am the Chief Growth Officer 📈. Starting a business during a global pandemic was a rollercoaster but has resulted in one of the fastest-growing, most agile remote-first service providers in the Media, TV & Telecoms sector. 

Empowering people is central to how I tick as a person, and I spend much of my time training, coaching, leading and inspiring others. At Ovyo, I have the pleasure every day of watching our teams grow, our people develop and in turn delivering the best possible software and consulting services to our customers. 

I also love sharing my knowledge and experience with others which has led me down all sorts of avenues including taking the lead on various training initiatives and mentoring of industry professionals – for me there is no greater reward than watching others flourish, prosper & enhance their careers. 

Networking and Partnerships has and will always play a huge part in my career. I spark off connecting people & companies together and watching partnerships flourish. I am very fortunate to be able to work with some of the brightest individuals across the industry and invest a lot of time bringing entrepreneurs, startups, investors and thought leaders together.

Outside of work I have four amazing children 👦👦🧒👶 I’m attempting to be a role-model for - Jacob, Joshua, Charlie & Kallie - and a kick-ass wife, Corrina. We are rapidly becoming digital nomads and embarking on our master plan to travel the world🌎 with our children - so far we are 14 countries in and have lived in the UK, Portugal & Canada.
