Ten years ago, I made a list. Everything I wanted. I rolled it up, put it in a silver box, and forgot about it.

Last week, I remembered. I wanted to see that list. Measure myself against my younger self’s ambitions. 
I found the box. 
Opened it. 
The list was gone.

In its place? A Lego figurine. 
One of my kids had taken the paper and left me a toy.

I paused. Because I remembered that list. 
Clear as day. 
Every single thing I wanted. And I had it all. Everything on that list, I had achieved. Not by obsessing over the paper. 
By forgetting it and doing the work.

That Lego figurine wasn’t a mistake. It was a message. ‘You did it. Here’s your proof.’

Most people never write the list. They drift. But even those who write it hold on too tight. They check it obsessively. They let it become anxiety instead of a compass.

I forgot the list. And in forgetting, I freed myself to execute. I didn’t need to see it to know where I was going. The vision was in me, not on the paper.

The list was a declaration. A contract with my future self. Once signed, the paper became irrelevant. The work was what mattered.

That Lego figurine is worth more than the list ever was. It represents the life I built while I wasn’t looking. The family. The moments. The proof.

Write it down. Then put it away. Don’t worship the list. Worship the work. Don’t obsess over the vision. Become the person who makes it inevitable.

You don’t need the list anymore. You are the list.

Wellness Creative Strategist for Modern Hospitality

Wellness is having its tobacco moment.

People finally realizing half the category is unregulated supplements, starvation cleanses, and marketing dressed up as results.

In grad school at Columbia, I was taught something wild:
Germany regulates supplements like pharmaceuticals.
Meanwhile, half of wellness proructs and services of what’s sold in the U.S. barely clears the bar.

Imagine if that were the standard.

The industry loves growth.
But growth without integrity isn’t wellness 
it’s opportunism.

If wellness can’t back their claims with rigor, the market is coming for them.

People are tired of pretending the old wellness travel version worked.

The future is communal.
The future includes families.
The future acknowledges women’s entire life cycle.
The future is felt, not tracked.
And the future is clinical, not “inspirational.”

This isn’t a glow-up.
It’s a takedown of everything that was performative, exclusionary, or unproven.

If you’re still selling wellness like it’s 2015, the market is about to call your bluff.

You think doctors are corrupt because pharma pays them. You’re being played.

A doctor speaks at a conference, gets paid, and you demand transparency. 

Those payments are:
Tracked. 
Reported. 
Regulated. 
You can look them up. 
The system has accountability.

Now the wellness influencer you follow. 
They list a million symptoms:
fatigue
brain fog
bloating
anxiety
hoping one hits you. 

When it does, you buy. 
The supplement. 
The powder. 
The protocol.

Here’s what you don’t know. 
They’re getting paid. 
By a trillion-dollar industry. 
Completely unregulated. 
No disclosure requirements. 
No oversight. 
No accountability.

Look, I’m sure there are well-intentioned wellness influencers. People who genuinely believe in what they promote. But intention doesn’t eliminate bias. Before you buy something, check their bias at the door. 

Do your own research. 
Make your own decision. 
Don’t let someone else’s financial incentive become your health strategy.
