• Key designer and facilitator for the leadership development program that served 400 leaders who ranged in experience from first-time people managers to company executives. 
• Spearheaded the redesign of the company new hire onboarding program that received 99% participant evaluation ratings.
• Managed the employee recognition program which included leading a project team to execute multiple events, putting on the annual employee recognition luncheon with executive and board leadership, managing vendors, SOP creation, and communicating with hundreds of employees annually.

Hello! My name is Nicole Smith and I am a Senior Talent Development leader who specializes in:

My passion is to help organizations develop their people and build healthy workplace cultures where teammates can thrive, innovate, and achieve incredible levels of high-performance.

I have done this throughout my career by developing and leading numerous people programs. My experience includes:

L&D: Over 12 years of experience designing and implementing L&D programs & departments for both large (over 4000 employees) and small organizations with participants ranging from individual contributor level to executives. My programs enjoy at least a 95% success rate. 

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Designed and implemented leadership development programs for two different organizations. The first was for 400 people managers and the second program was for 150 leaders that ranged from individual contributors to executives. 

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Designed the organization development strategy for a billion-dollar organization that guided the implementation of all new people programs to ensure they aligned with business priorities and supported our innovative, high-performing culture.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: I first implemented a successful performance management program for an organization that had previously struggled when trying to pilot 3 different performance management initiatives in 3 years. After implementation, I managed the new program which included goal setting, succession planning, talent reviews, management coaching, and employee development.  

CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Served as the company change leader who was responsible for guiding the organization through the people side of change.

Balancing a people first approach with the needs of a fast-paced organization, I am known as a fun, motivating leader who excels at inspiring teammates to achieve new levels of performance and innovation. 

On weekends, I head outdoors to trail run, hike, standup paddleboard (SUP), surf, or go on adventures with my dog. Very passionate about the outdoors, I believe in recreating responsibly and inspiring others to get outside and discover their own adventures!

When not working or adventuring, I represent Native Women Running at trail races or volunteer with my local youth run club called Running 505 that helps middle schoolers establish active, healthy habits while they are still young.
