Worst launch of 2026?

TROVE - down 95% in 24 hours (raised $11M+).

What happens when you suck $11M+ in liquidity through a public round and then launch?

Expect hardly any buying pressure at launch.

All that selling pressure (internal / presale)? 

If only listed on a DEX, it will likely not take much selling pressure to tank the entire price with such a configuration.

This is also an example why balancing DEX/CEX for a launch is critical.

If only a DEX?

Any selling pressure only has the DEX liquidity pool to sell into.

The result?

Price often crashes rapidly depending on liquidity config. 

As I discuss in the video, I personally saw a $20K decrease in LP cut off $5MM in market cap valuation on a $50MM FDV token.

So, selling $11M of tokens, only having a DEX and likely wanting to sell some tokens to build a treasury?

Won't work. 

There's no net new buying pressure as $11M has already been sucked out.

Don't expect a team to provide lots of LP depth on a DEX if their plan is to sell tokens.

Not saying that's what happened with TROVE.

But, something smells very fishy here!

It'll be interesting to see what comes out in the coming days regarding root cause.

Death of InfoFi? That might just be a good thing.

Majority of "InfoFi"? Useless noise and low quality content.

How can one understand what's actually working from a marketing standpoint if they fill their pipeline with noise and fake data?

That said, I am a fan of a different kind of "InfoFi".

One that connects social activity and support by customers to actual value creation and rewards. 

Instead of using such marketing tactics which just create sell pressure through people dumping rewards?

What if they had an actual product or something of value to buy?

In this case, InfoFi might just work as it's connected to real value.

What if a loyal customer could create a legitimate post supporting a business and earn when a sale occurs? 

Someone supporting a brand finds out that their support led to some sales, earning them some commissions to claim.

Isn't this what "InfoFi" was promising in many ways?

Instead, we got a bunch of low quality bot AI slop polluting our socials and data streams with noise. 

Nothing is tied to any real value creation (as they view the fake impressions/activity as the value).

What do you think about InfoFi?

Personally, I still think it'll thrive when integrated into a real business use case vs fake social activity and token farming. 

As an example, I worked on an InfoFi product earlier this year that integrated a shop, ticket sales and many other things with Sean, who supports a lot of my content here. 

It was not about shilling tokens, but tying activity to actual value creation (sales) and driving value through revenues.

When any founder can log in and execute a Kaito dump campaign, that's not a healthy thing for holders.

Back from social media detox and looking forward to 2026!

For me, end of year is a time of reflection...

– What worked last year?
– What didn't work?

– Where did I spend my time?
– Did this help me reach my goals?

– What did I do that was smart?
– What did I do that was stupid?

The New Year isn't about making a list of a bunch of resolutions I won't keep. 

It's about uncluttering my mind, stepping back, then looking objectively at everything I'm doing.

We are at the starting point of tokenization and I expect 2026 to be an amazing year for web3.

BTC price? Who knows 😂

But, I've never been here because of the Bitcoin price.

After all, I started consulting when BTC was $15K in 2022 after the Luna crash. 

I am here to build, not chase a Bitcoin price.

Wishing you and your families all the best leading into 2026!

The reason why many tokens fail? 

They're designed to... (here's how) 👇

– 15-20% to investors who dump
– 10-15% airdrop allocations w/high FDV
– Attached to a product making no money
– Launched into a community built by KOL marketing
– Lopsided short-term deals selling tokens at a discount

I can go on and on.

What's even worse?

Those copying the same playbook from prior failures and thinking they'll get a different result.

Example: That new DeFi platform with an airdrop campaign that'll end up with no liquidity or activity just one week after launch if they're lucky.

If something is treated like a liquid instrument to be sold into oblivion for insiders or freeloaders to profit?

Don't be surprised when it fails.

Instead?
– Real product and revenues
– Actual community of users
– Proper value capture / utility
– Limited insider dumping
– Existing business > onchain

Watch tokens this cycle launch at lower FDVs, less to insiders and more community focused.

Are token launches dead?

Or, were most tokens dead on arrival by design?

Here, I contrast $AVICI, which raised $3MM from the public and launched after the October 10th market crash.

Largely, only the community has tokens here.

There are also milestones controlled through governance alongside a monthly budget released for the team to build.

Think about what's been happening:

1. Insiders buy the token early (or get it free).

2. Project launches at high FDV

3. PvP between insiders and community

Web3 might just be the only market where the investors literally sell into and extract value from the customers - overwhelmingly.

For any VC to create returns (DPI) they need to make money.

In web3, the money is not made via enterprise value, liquidity events such as IPOs, etc. 

Instead, the money is extracted from the customers platform/community base.

Essentially, any VC that might be deemed "successful" in web3 has largely made money by selling into the customers/community of the very product they funded.

They didn't have to be "right" at picking a good company that customers loved and grew revenues through traction.

A potentially different path?

Let's recognize that blockchain rails drive immense efficiencies.

Through this tech, the ability to build a thriving high revenue/employee company is there - and we've seen it.

This is enterprise value and actual value creation!

Now, it is my opinion investors can/should still get tokens.

The problem is when they're given so many and the only way for them to have a liquidity event is to dump them...especially at high FDVs.

Personally, I believe the future of tokens is a more measured and intentional approach.

Also, vesting possibly tied to KPIs so all stakeholders are aligned.

In the case of Avici, it's been interesting watching it play out even in bad market conditions.

Although this is only one data point, if one bought all of the MetaDAO launches aside from Avici they'd be up pretty nice so far!

It's not that tokens don't work.

Many aren't using them right or doing the same thing and expecting different results. 

Because if you have lower FDVs and measure what you give to insiders, who will be dumping on the launch?

The reason why people dump is because they believe it's overvalued to begin with!

Start at a more reasonable valuation through more reasonable fundraising strategies?

Now you're positioned for much better success than otherwise!

Watch the $200MM-$300MM FDVs repeatedly crash and burn after mere weeks as they can't maintain liquidity / enough volume to support their valuation after initial launch hype.

Struggling to raise money in web3?

I asked Michael Graham to share how he's helping founders raise through grants. 

Many ecosystems have very generous grant programs.

Those looking to raise money?

They'll need to understand how to navigate these individual ecosystems, build up their network and position themselves properly as competition can be fierce.

Ecosystems will want to fund projects that drive value and are in alignment with their tech.

How you position yourself is absolutely critical.

I thought it'd be helpful for founders who might be struggling to become aware that there are other ways to raise capital!

The first crypto project I bought was a scam.

Millions of first-time users had the same experience. Rug pulls. Tokens that vanished overnight. Projects that weren't around the next week.

So their brain did what brains do: flagged the whole space as dangerous.

Put your hand on a hot stove once and get burned.

You going to do it again? Likely not!

Here's what many traditional projects offer:

→ No connection to real assets/value
→ No legal structure beyond a foundation or offshore entity
→ No chain of custody
→ No way to verify what you're actually buying

You're basically praying your purchase isn't worthless.

RWAs change this completely.

When real world assets come onchain, you get:

→ Clear legal ownership structures
→ Regulated platforms with compliance requirements
→ Chain of custody for the underlying assets
→ Real value, not speculative promises

This isn't just better tokenomics.

It's trust and legitimacy in what's being purchased.

If you can borrow against a tokenized asset with confidence, that asset has real credibility. You're not hoping it exists. You know it does.

The projects winning right now aren't the ones with the cleverest utility loops.

They're the ones where users can buy something real on day one.

That's the shift:

"Hope this isn't a scam" → "I own something real."

And that's how we bring in the next wave of users who actually stay.

The waste is slowly being flushed down the sewer.

Just like the dot-com bubble, real value will emerge leading to incredible growth.

Challenge with RWAs and tokenization?

Here's what matters in 2026... 👇

It's not enough to tokenize assets and bring them onchain.

Once they are there?

– How are they monetized?
– How is money made upfront?
– How is money made continuously?

The last thing we need is tokenized assets coming onchain to broken business models. 

We already had many years of broken models and failed mechanics.

Now?

We have a golden opportunity:

Through regulation, real assets can now come onchain in many regions. 

Rather than trying to make up and sell fake value like many do in web3?

We get real assets with real demand and real value attached to them.

Tokenizing not only adds efficiencies to processes, but creates NEW ways of monetizing and using these assets. 

This is where the innovation will come from.

🔑 Key point: Don't just tokenize - focus on distribution and business model.

Doing more with less resources?

A founder's perspective on operations in the age of AI.

Most founders?

– Small teams
– Raising resources
– Struggling to do everything

I see so much focus on "automation" and "orchestration".

However, such things are usually NOT done until quality is sufficient.

In this video, I'll break down how to think about quality and how focusing on it is where the value is unlocked.

Through improving quality:
– More consistency = higher quality outputs
– Less frustration among team members
– Better / less stressful to do tasks
– Capacity to do work grows

In practice:
– Find the bottleneck
– Use AI tools to improve quality as much as possible
– Don't worry about "automation" or "orchestration"

Even if you have to manually paste between a few software solutions, does it really matter if quality is high and you hardly have to mess with it?

The orchestration is not where the time is eaten, which I show in the video.

Find the hardest thing to do and make it easier to do alongside improving quality.

What does a second chance look like?

A small life found in the rain. Alone, vulnerable, with no defense against what the world had already thrown at it. But then, hands reached down. Not to take, but to save.

Rescue is sometimes as simple as noticing suffering and deciding it doesn't have to continue. Seeing vulnerability and choosing to meet it with care instead of indifference.

The transformation doesn't happen instantly. It takes warmth, patience, gentle hands, and time. It takes proving over and over that safety is real. That this new world won't hurt the way the old one did.

When animals are given that chance, something shifts. Eyes that once held fear start to hold trust. Bodies that braced for pain learn to relax. The world slowly becomes less threatening and more like home.

This is what compassion looks like in action. Not just feeling bad about suffering, but doing something about it. Creating space for healing. Rebuilding what was broken.

Every rescued life is a reminder that one person's choice to care can rewrite an entire story. That vulnerability doesn't have to mean the end. That with the right hands, even the smallest, most fragile life can become strong again.

The rain doesn't last forever. And neither does the suffering, when someone decides to step in.
